Knit Knit Purl Purl
My knitting projects, and other stuff. Friday, June 30, 2006. Warning this post contains high levels of 70s knitwear. Some readers of a sensitive disposition may want to look away. Knitting the Black Purl Clapotis has reminded me that I'm always nervous about making things for other people. Everything I've made so far has been well received, but I'm always suspicious that they are just being polite. I think this stems from my childhood. BTW, I don’t want you to think that I am ungrateful for the hours of...

Go, Cardi, Go. First Half of the sleeve. So I found...

Knit Knitty Knit Knit
Knit Knitty Knit Knit. Sunday, March 29, 2009. So I'm finally going to post Laminaria. The reason I haven't is that I wanted to get some photo's of the shawl being worn, and I just kept forgetting to get it done. So here it is at last:. And of course the knitter's perv shots:. The pattern is Laminaria. By Elizabeth Freeman from the Spring 2008 edition of Knitty. Although I changed part of the pattern, which I now think was unnecessary). There are subtle differences between all of them! So I finished Lami...

String and a couple sticks
String and a couple sticks. Wild and crazy Adventures in Knitting. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. And I was doing so well. But then, well, life happened, as it is want to do. Work got weird (weirder, really) and then my position was eliminated. So I've been stuck at home looking for work for the last two-ish weeks. I'm doing everything I can to keep from getting bored. Might be the devil) And I even cleaned my apartment, including the bathrooms and put most of my stuff out of boxes (from the moving) and away.
