A day in the life of. Monday, July 18, 2011. I've never been a runner in my life, but I've always thought it would be something I would like to do, so after 8 weeks of running and completing the Couch to 5K. Running plan for the second time (I did it after the boys were born), I was ready to try my 2nd 5K with my parents and Rob. My dad was great, he's been running regularly for awhile now, and he came in 12th in his age group of 109 runners! He even beat Rob. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, June 7, 2010. Memorial Day at the Temple. We go a chance to attend the temple on Memorial Day with our in-laws and it was wonderful! It was good not only to remember those who have served and died for our country but to remember those in our own families who have gone before us! Wednesday, August 4, 2010. For a moment while I scream in happiness! I got my ring today and it's the most beautiful thing! Sorry I just had to tell the five people that read this! Also my finger is finally scabbing and I get my sutures out today! Ps I'm the biggest klutz in the world. Who breaks their finger in a door and has to get surgery three weeks before her wedding? That would be me! I hope I can find a good way to cover it up! I have 17 more days til I get married! Links to this post.

I've said so many times that one of the best parts of our move was to be closer to Fish Creek Park, and now we finally started to use it! I've gone a few times with the kids or just with Ollie in the stroller, but Nate came with us once at the end of September and the cafe was still open so we could enjoy a family treat - so fun! A day in the life of. Thursday, July 21, 2011. For Rob's 30th birthday, we decided to sneak away as a family to a condo in Galveston. We had the most amazing time, and plan to make this a yearly (if not bi-annual) tradition. We stumbled upon this hidden gem called Pointe West. There is so much to see and do on Galveston Island and the city is so rich with history, that we barely scratched the surface on our 5 day vacation, so we have lots to look forward to in the years to come. Getting a little spunky.

Saturday, August 13, 2011. I love going to garage sales. This year has been great-already got Alyssas snow suit for winter. As usual, Cooper and I sneaked out while Michael and Alyssa were sleeping and got some great deals! I got him big iron man that talks. In April he went through an iron man phase, so I thought this was great. It says many things including "I am iron man". After playing with it for hours he said " this looks a lot like iron man". I laughed so hard! He knew it was-did he forget?

Friday, July 15, 2011. Someone is turning 33! Well, when he turned 30, he was actually okay. But turning 33 was a BIG deal. I wanted to make sure he just had FUN. I made him a SKOR cake, and He had a PS3 party. We had the boys play downstairs while the girls were upstairs in the toyroom with the 8 kids.
