Here is Jack with his birthday cake before his friends came. He wanted to go out in the backyard and play tag when everybody got here. Usually on December 8th there would be snow, but not this year no snow and no coats on the kids! They ran around for a while before coming in for the main event. Thursday, December 4, 2014.

When my dad was here over the 4th of July he won 10 free icees and since he doesn't live here and we do, we got the prize! Eliza had fun with Eberlee when they come to visit for the 4th of July! We all had fun with her actually because she is soo cute. What would summer be without a flood in the sandbox?

He had a fun birthday. Lunch with his friends, some Vanilla Cream Soda sitting on his desk for a sweet surprise, a new shirt and pair of pants, and a lot of sweet birthday wishes. Oh, and on his birthday eve we went out for ice cream. To keep the party going as long as possible of course. Happy, Happy Birthday Russell!

Livin' La Vida Liston. Russell, Dana, Aiden, Eliza, and Jack. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. We went on an overnight backpacking trip last weekend to Clyde Lake. We had perfect weather, perfect kids and the perfect hike! Here we are on starting out on the trail. Aiden carried a lot more this year, including a tent for him and Jack to sleep in. We are all too big to cram into a four person tent now. It was so pretty up there the wildflowers were in bloom and everything was so green. Aiden and Jack fishing away.

This post has a lot of pictures, because what we did last Friday was so crazy and so fun and so hard I couldn't just post a couple of shots I had to do a lot! Russell and I went with our friends Roger and Jennefer, Jim and Janell and Tom and did a 19 mile, 10 hour hike to Ribbon Falls in the Grand Canyon. Here we are at a lookout point fresh and ready to hike. This cool tunnel was carved out of the rock on the trail.

Livin' La Vida Liston. Russell, Dana, Aiden, Eliza, and Jack. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. So tomorrow is Russell and my 16th wedding anniversary! Anyway for our stay-cation we decided to hike a peak. Mt. Baldy. It was an 8 mile five and a half hour round trip hike. The first 4 miles were straight up. And it was tough! It was also beautiful!
