There is so much beautiful light, scrumptious food, and happy, whimsical flowers. That’s kind of a list of my obsessions right now. So I want to share some of the beautiful things that I have been enjoying. (isn’t the internet grand? So here’s a list of delightful links. This is my new favorite food site! Oh am I ready for spring! Strawberry tartlets are just too much.
And So I Died | Ramblings of a Whimsical Twenty-Something
https://kristimast.wordpress.com/2015/05/09/and-so-i-died
Ramblings of a Whimsical Twenty-Something. My random and sporadic commentary on life and growing up. And So I Died. May 9, 2015. May 10, 2015. A commentary on my 18th year). I don’t know why or how or when I got to where I am. I don’t know what was or what will be or even what is. I cannot see my steps even as I take them. I cannot see because a dimness and fog covers my eyes. Men dwell in the sand and ants walk on the moon. The sky is filled with dust and the oceans with the trees. So let me die. You ar...

Ramblings of a Whimsical Twenty-Something. My random and sporadic commentary on life and growing up. Young, Wild, and Free. April 6, 2016. Wild hair, light on our face,. Sun burned and bare legged,. Arms outstretched to the wind,. Emotion we can’t contain. Cold nights, laughing at the stars,. Holding tight and letting go,. I am and we are. Present–forgetful of past pain and future failures. Empty wallets, full hearts,. Cannon-balling into the future,. Embracing uncertainty, and bright eyes wide open.

Our hotel is at the top of what appears to be a mountain, thus the faces. June 13, 2014. This is my happy place. June 13, 2014. Yesterday we took to a narrow, roundabout road from our town, Oia, to Imerovigli, a village just up the island. Our primary quest? To scale Skaros Rock, but first, supper. Our Ntakos came, and it was impeccable. It was composed of a layer o...

Excelsior: About the name
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/p/title.html
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The shades of night were falling fast,. As through an Alpine village passed. A youth, who bore, 'mid snow and ice,. A banner with the strange device,. His brow was sad; his eye beneath,. Flashed like a falchion from its sheath,. And like a silver clarion rung. The accents of that unknown tongue,. In happy homes he saw the light. Of household fires gleam warm and bright;. Above, the spectral glaciers shone,. And from his lips escaped a groan,. Try not the Pass! The young man...

Excelsior: the children
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-children.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. There was a man. Overcome with frustration, he penned words. His name is kurt bestor. He wrote "Prayer of the Children.". This song brings tears to my eyes and deep emotions to my heart every time. Empty eyes with no more tears to cry. Reaching hands, with nothing to hold onto. In the shadow of an unknown room. Blood of the innocent. Never settle for less! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ramblings of a Whimsical Teenager.

Excelsior: class of 2015
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/05/class-of-2015.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Ten days ago, these guys made a valiant dive into life. These two worked so hard in school. They did more than what was required. They paved pathways for those behind them. I grew up with these kids, and some of my favorite memories include them in our first three years of school. Laurie and I spent a fun evening in Pittsburgh with our brothers to capture their senior faces. Rylan, you make me proud in so many ways. I'm so blessed to have you as my little brother.

http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/07/friends-photoshoot.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. Throughout the past few years, I've watched these ladies grow and learn and begin to stretch their wings. They've learned to really think. About relationships and the Kingdom and the Bible,. And they're not afraid to ask questions. It is such a privilege to be involved in their lives, and to watch God write their stories. There is so much potential right here, and I'm excited to see what God will do in and through them! She has such a sweet spirit, and is full of grace. O markree, ...

Monday, May 11, 2015. You may call me sentimental. But today, to celebrate the bright, hot sunshine and an incredible day off work, and the fact that summer truly seems to have arrived, I made popsicles :). Comes to mind as I think about the many summer evenings spent slurping at these gems. I remember the way we'd fight over the Mickey Mouse ones.somehow they always tasted better. March 8, 2018. March 9, 2018. Thank you for making us physical beings. Beings that can reach out and touch each other and sip tea and feel the icy wind down our backs. Thank you for giving us form and shape–hard elbows and velvety cheeks and also, yes, also, tummies–warm and round, soft and plump–goodness in my gut. 8220;My weight is my love; by it I am carried wherever I am carried.” Augustine,.
