Kristin's Year in Kenya: Camping in Naivasha

http://kristininkenya.blogspot.com/2009/10/camping-in-naivasha.html

Kristin's Year in Kenya. Monday, October 12, 2009. Because we don’t yet have our residency cards, once we arrived at the Hell’s Gate park entrance we spent a good 45 minutes trying to negotiate our way in for a residents fare. As usually occurs with price negotiations (or most anything for that matter) in Kenya, if you are persistent enough and don’t give up, you will eventually get what you want. And we did! Well, that’s the update on the weekend adventures for now! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Adventures in Moshi: March 2010

A baby shower and more updates. My friend adopted a baby last month, so of course we organized a baby shower! The collective we, because my roommate did most of the work). It was particularly special because the latest addition to our Moshi family, Thomas, was present for his shower - and was a most willing participant in the opening of presents and being passed around, to the delight of Lena and Alya - our budding pre-teen moms :). I knitted a hat for Thomas - because, even in Moshi, it can get cool!
