Katie and Sams travels in Istanbul. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Every year the city of Istanbul holds a marathon. This is very exciting because it's the only time of year that they allow foot traffic on the bridges, making it possible to walk from Asia into Europe. Despite our trip to France (which was also colder than a witches tit), we have been staying inside and out of trouble. Both being from warmer southern climates, the harsh reality that snow and below freezing temperatures exist more than one day a year hit us like a ton of bricks.
