Thursday, January 24, 2008. A Tale of Two Sofas. So we got gift cards to JC Penney for Christmas. Brad and I went up there a couple of days after Christmas and were disappointed to see that our couch, while still on sale, was $100 more than it had been before Christmas. Since the gift cards didn't expire, we decided we would wait until the sofa went back down to the price we originally thought we'd end up paying. I am excited to get our new sofas. Saturday, May 17, 2008. I have a theme or whatever, finally! Hopefully soon we'll get the whole bathroom painted. Saturday, January 12, 2008. We decided a few weeks ago that today would be the day we were going to get our master bedroom, bathroom, and closet all in order the way we want it, the way we would have done it the day/weekend/week we moved in had we had the time. I booked a babysitter through Seeking Sitters. Anyway, we had a sitter to entertain Nyssa while we worked uninterrupted in our room. It took us a few hours to find homes for everything, but we did it and everything feels SOOOOOO much better! I bet...

So this weekend Brad moved all of the stuff out of the craft room and into my photography studio room, and then moved the craft room furniture into the room so that I could begin unpacking all of my stuff and get it put away. Saturday, April 5, 2008. I haven't really updated because there hasn't been much to talk about. But today, Brad, his dad, and two of his brothers accomplished a HUGE task - they put down flooring in our walk-in attic! We have probably 300 square feet of storage space in our attic now. Monday, May 21, 2007. There's a SOLD sign in our lot! I got price quotes from our design consultant today for upgrading to granite and putting wood flooring in the game room. I decided I didn't want granite bad enough to pay the difference, and we'll be happy enough with the solid surface countertops. Tomorrow we are going to the design center to look around and talk about choices. Our final meeting with the design consultant is June 5, I think. Need to check my calendar to be sure!
