Birds have started to return. American Goldfinch - Just starting to turn yellow. Common Redpoll, Chickadee and red-breasted-nuthatch still around. While on a walk I say an American Robin. No change in the birds comming to the feeder. Black Capped Chickadee 10-15. Red-breasted-nuthatch 1 at a time. But there should be returning birds shortly. The lake is completely frozen. Most of the lake is frozen over. There are no more water birds left. There are still a few hooded meganzers on the lake. Over 20 Hooded Mergansers returned to the lake to feed. Blue Heron was still on the lake today. 1 Loon on the lake feeding. 42 American Coot spent the day on the lake. Slate-colored Juncos are back under the feeder. Still see the Common Merganser from time to time. Canadian geese have been flying over. A few have landed for a short period. Black Capped Ch...

Bluejays and American Goldfinch are gone. One slatecolored junco comes to the feeder every day. Common Red poll are back. American goldfinch in winter colors are back. White and red breasted nuthatch are still around. A few Bluejays come by once in a while. Black Capped chickadee by the dozens are here every day. The Hairy and Downy woodpecker make a daily visit. Slate colored Junco have left. Did not see the loon this weekend. Three canadian geese were on the lake today. Humming birds are back.
