Family "Mis" Adventures: On Being the Meanest Mom EVERRRRRRRRR
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2011/11/on-being-meanest-mom-everrrrrrrrr.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Friday, November 18, 2011. On Being the Meanest Mom EVERRRRRRRRR. I had yet another. Proud mommy moment today. Winter-like weather has hit our area recently, which means it's the time of year every parent hates: hat and mitten weather (we're not quite at 'snow-suit' weather yet, which as most parents know is the equivalent to hell on earth.) Because of this, most of my time this morning was spent saying:. Make sure you put your hat and mittens on! I literally ...

Family "Mis" Adventures: Magnificent Mother's Day
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2014/05/magnificent-mothers-day.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Mother's Day was on Sunday and it was really quite awesome. It started off with me having to eat my words. All week I had been saying to people: "the weather on Mother's Day is always cold and miserable. I always have these grand visions of spending the day outside with the kids, only to be stuck inside all day because it's cold and miserable.". Well, here is me, eating my words. But I'll be IN the kayak! He continued to argue. It was aw...

Family "Mis" Adventures: Racing Away Father's Day
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2014/07/racing-away-fathers-day.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Thursday, July 3, 2014. Racing Away Father's Day. Not even going to talk about how long it's been since I blogged. Nope. Not gonna go there. So Father's Day came and went, and what a great day it was. We have a tradition where we take part in the Boys Home run - either by running, walking or biking. This year Chris really wanted to do the 10km Father / Son race with Aidan. So off they ran:. THAT guy is ready to run! Managed to get Chris though! Now the story b...

Family "Mis" Adventures: Things I Learned from my Kids While on Vacation....
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2011/09/things-i-learned-from-my-kids-while-on.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Sunday, September 4, 2011. Things I Learned from my Kids While on Vacation. It doesn't matter how many bathrooms you pass, or how many times you say: "do you have to go pee? They'll always say: "Mom, I gotta goooooo! While simultaneously grabbing their crotch) when you are as far away from the bathrooms as is humanly possible. Sometimes the best seat around is on Daddy's shoulders. Minutes - stop and take a break. It up and buy the damn cone! Really cool fount...

Family "Mis" Adventures: For Today....
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2014/07/for-today.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Thursday, July 10, 2014. July 10, 2014. It is a beautiful spring / summer day with a few clouds lazily making their way across the sky. About the massive exterior reno currently going on with our house. There will be no pictures until the whole job is done so it could be a while. Let me just tease you with this: so far it looks fan-freakin'-tastic! Is not much at all, probably some remnant of breakfast? Ffor more non-event nights - that's what summer is about!

Family "Mis" Adventures: Hello, My Name is Tara and I Am a Grammar Snob....
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2010/10/hello-my-name-is-tara-and-i-am-grammar.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Friday, October 15, 2010. Hello, My Name is Tara and I Am a Grammar Snob. Unintelligible rant ahead - you have been warned. I have a problem. In my old age I discovered that I am becoming a grammar snob. Simple grammatical errors drive me CRAZY. In fact, they surpass fingernails on a chalkboard as my number one cringe-inducing moment. The correct terminology is actually: regardless. (Urbandictionary.com has a hysterical definition of irregardless. And now that...

Family "Mis" Adventures: Hopping Along
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2014/04/hopping-along.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Tuesday, April 22, 2014. We had a fabulous Easter weekend, end of story. In a nutshell: I didn't cook. At All. All. Weekend. Long. The weather was even kind enough to cooperate! Friday was cool and drizzly to start out, but by 4:00 it was cool and sunny. Saturday got even better, and by Sunday we were in full sun and 20 degree weather. The kids were running around in shorts, blowing bubbles, playing tennis - it was Fab.U. LOUS! Family "Mis" Adventures: August 2010

Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Friday, August 27, 2010. An Ode to Lego. Oh Lego, how I hate thee. You're continual existence is a royal pain for me. Red, yellow, blue, green. The amount of pieces is truly obscene. Planes, tanks, towers and more,. You fall to pieces all over my floor. You engender fantastic creations with great imagination,. But are a constant source of great frustration. No matter how carefully we build with you,. You collapse and shatter and we must start a-new. When she -...

Family "Mis" Adventures: 15 years.....
http://pace-james.blogspot.com/2014/05/15-years.html
Two parents four kids = never a dull moment. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Last Thursday Chris and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary. That's right. FIFTEEN years! I highlight fifteen not because I'm surprised we lasted this long, but because I can't believe 15 years have gone by since we said our "I do's". This was us, all young and innocent, ready to take on the world 15 years ago:. And here we are 15 years later. A little wiser, 4 kids later, and a whole lot older:. View my complete profile.
