Zugspitze in the background. We went with friends from the Ward, the Clark's. Riding on the tram to the Zugspitze. Scenery on the way up. Lunch at the Zugspitze logde. Scenery looking out towards Austria. The ski runs below. A mammoth carved in the snow cave wall. Lodge in the 'bowl'. Scenery looking out toward the Swiss Alps.

Wednesday, 17 April 2013. I guess this means I'm fickle. I'm so sad for my blog. I have completely and utterly abandoned it. And I'm gutted that I have. I read over some of my ridiculous posts and feel sad that my girls are growing up and no longer resemble the descriptions in my posts. I feel like I have mellowed somewhat and perhaps don't have that much to say. Though i loved having an outlet for all my inane chat. 17 April 2013 at 14:39. London Express Trip 07/2009. The USO sponsored a one day trip to London by bus. We started in the evening around 8:00 pm. By the next morning around 5:30 am we were at Calais. And caught the ferry across the English channel. Here we are coming up on the white cliffs of Dover. The ferry ride was actually one of the highlights of this trip for me.sounds crazy I know but I just really enjoyed it. London bridge is falling down, falling down, no no wait a minute, OK it's just London bridge. And all that stuff.

Bastogne, Belgium, 10/9-10/08. We took a WWII Battle of the Bulge/Battle of the Ardennes themed tour to Bastogne and surrounding areas. 14,000 Americans were surrounded by 40,000 Germans. The battle lasted a little over a month. Turning point of the war. The area is beautiful. The leaves were turning- beautiful. American Sherman Tank in center square of Bastogne. Aren't my guys handsome! Nic and Ben commanding a Sherman Tank. Ben goes for a night ride! Ben living the moment :). Triberg, Germany, 09/20/08.

Rothenburg, Germany 01/03/09. Day trip. Rothenburg is an extremely well preserved walled city. We visited the Imperial City Museum. There is lots to see here. We will be going back. Queen Marie Antoinette's hunting ensemble. Dad and Krystal went to Heidelberg Castle. Steve and Krystal found a slide. Dad went down preparing for a slow ride wanting a fast one. He went fast right off the slide and continuing on the ice. Ludwig Castle Trip 12/26 to 27/08. Looking at Pollat Gorge from Neuschwanstien Castle.
