How to get there. Langley Mead is located off the B3349 Hyde End Road, so the South of the village of Shinfield and to the East of Spencers Wood. There is a public car park available at the location marked on the map below. The newly built public Car Park and. Facilities on Hyde End Road. Additional pedestrian and cycle access to the main Langley mead car park is planned for the future. If you are coming from the direction of Reading or the M4. If you are coming from the Wokingham or Arborfield Direction.

Over the winter months the Ranger has been laying the next section of hedge through the middle of Great Millworth field. Hedge-laying is becoming a lost art as machinery has taken over the management of our hedgerows and there are less farm staff on our farms to do this kind of work. It is also very time consuming as some regular visitors to the site will have noticed! The newly planted hedgerows and trees have been created to enhance the ecological value of the area, attracting lots of birds and wildlife.
