Learning Polish in Scotland. My courses in Spanish and German restart in February, so I’ll have to start properly revising at the start of December, which might tire me out language-wise but maybe novelty value will outweigh the sheer weight of grammar and vocabulary. I already in theory know that stuff, so…. It’s pretty bad. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Address never made public). Ël mè piemontèis: April 2012
http://elmepiemonteis.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 27, 2012. Piemontèis 6 Week Challenge. I've created this blog to track my progress learning Piedmontese. Over on the How To Learn Any Language Forum. They have what's called a 6 weeks challenge that happens four times a year, and I've decided to join in the challenge that starts May 1. My challenge is going to be learning Piedmontese. Why Piedmontese? So I'm placing a couple limitations on myself for the challenge. I can only spend the equivalent of one hour per day on Piedmontese. That...

Ël mè piemontèis: Piedmontese, Days Two and Three
http://elmepiemonteis.blogspot.com/2012/05/piedmontese-days-two-and-three.html
Thursday, May 3, 2012. Piedmontese, Days Two and Three. I'm being really strict with myself at keeping the one hour limit per day. Yesterday and today I went through a total of five more lessons from the Nòste Rèis. Course, but I could have spent a lot more time on it. It's turning out to be incredibly interesting to me. Each lesson has been taking me about 10 minutes to get through. Most of it is simple dialogs, but they've also introduced some simple reading, too. Couple and/or pair ( cobia, pàira.

Ël mè piemontèis: Piedmontese, two weeks in.
http://elmepiemonteis.blogspot.com/2012/05/piedmontese-two-weeks-in.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Piedmontese, two weeks in. I pushed through the rest of the Nòste Rèis. Course this weekend. The last couple lessons mainly dealt with grouped pronouns - something I needed to work on, anyway. And I continue to work on them. Things like Mi i-j lo pòrto. Still aren't anywhere near as comfortable as Glielo porto. At this point. There's also a fair amount of vocabulary that I'm taking in, but really, vocabulary is the easiest thing to work on. Site or the Casoni. I'm still looking for...

Learning Polish in Scotland. Wurdz an’ hau too spel. This thought brought to you by browsing Amazon and seeing that some things have bad reviews for leaving you with no idea how to spell a word. And face it, an English native speaker is never going to guess that “jenkooyeh” is spelt “dziękuję.” Easy to read, hard to spell. Teach Yourself Beginner’s Polish (Etc). Elementary Polish →. Learning Polish in Scotland. Teach Yourself Beginner’s Polish (Etc). Some of the explanations aren’t very good. I’ve been using the internet to look up some of the grammar stuff that it hasn’t adequately or clearly explained. I mean I know it’s hard to explain grammar, but it occasionally uses grammatical terms that it can’t just assume the reader to know already. Let’s see if I have this right…. Wurdz an’ hau too spel →. It’s pretty bad | Szkotka
https://szkotka.wordpress.com/2012/11/21/its-pretty-bad
Learning Polish in Scotland. It’s pretty bad. I had exams etc in my Spanish and German courses, so I stopped the Polish to concentrate on those and just sort of… forgot to start it again. I am quite useless. I have this course. On my Kindle and the best I can say is that starting on page on I at least know a few of the words. I need to find small, obtainable goals. It’s quite hard to keep at it because I don’t. I’ll see what I can get done in one week. That’s a small goal. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Ël mè piemontèis: Piedmontese, First day impressions
http://elmepiemonteis.blogspot.com/2012/05/piedmontese-first-day-impressions.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Piedmontese, First day impressions. Today is the first day of the 6 Week Challenge, and I've already used up my 1-hour allotment for the day. I spent about a half an hour going through the first three lessons of the Nòste Rèis. Course. If these first three lessons are any indication, I'll get through the course very quickly. There are only 19 lessons and a couple of reading exercises at the end. When ëd follows a word ending in a vowel, it's contracted to 'd. These rules are simple ...
