Bluff City Brewing: Bohemian Pilsener
http://www.bluffcitybrewing.com/2015/04/bohemian-pilsener.html
A blog about making, drinking and appreciating beer in Tennessee. Sunday, April 19, 2015. I decided to try a new style today. I have enjoyed a few Bohemian Pilseners and happen to have a few ounces of aging Chech Saaz so I decided to use it up and make one. I hit the mash well at 155 degrees. It lost only one degree after an hour. I hope this beer is good. The Bohemian Lager yeast I'm using will need to work for about a month before I can package the beer. Bluff City Brewing: October 2013
http://www.bluffcitybrewing.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
A blog about making, drinking and appreciating beer in Tennessee. Thursday, October 31, 2013. Octoberfest, Beer Fest. Once again, to my delight, Fall is here. Cool air blowing leaves about always improves my demeanor. But so does a well made beer. I know that Marzen is supposed to be made in March and drank in October but I didn't get to it in the Spring and it's difficult to chill the wort to pitching temperature in the Summer. It appears to be fermenting as vigorously as a lager can at 53 degrees.
Bluff City Brewing: Ordinary Bitter. The Working Man's Beer.
http://www.bluffcitybrewing.com/2014/07/ordinary-bitter-working-mans-beer.html
A blog about making, drinking and appreciating beer in Tennessee. Sunday, July 20, 2014. Ordinary Bitter. The Working Man's Beer. Today I made and English Pale called Ordinary Bitter. This is one of my favorite beers because it is so flavorful while delivering a lot less alcohol. The grist barely filled the hopper on my mill. Most of my beers use more grain. I cleaned more of those 1/2 liter bottles yesterday. They were really dirty. But a little OxyClean and new gaskets will revive them. Good Beer To You.

Taking a bite out of life. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 24, 2014. I hate being late. I’m pretty sure this dates back to a childhood obsession with “people pleasing” that has carried over into my adult world. Not that there’s anything wrong with it; it’s nice to show up on time — professionally speaking, this is a bonus, and I think when you’re a dinner guest or meeting a friend, promptness is a courtesy we all can appreciate.
