To start with we couldn’t, but then something flew into a big tree not far away. I shout- whispered ‘Peacocks! Saturday, 18 October 2008. Hashi...

Bhutan Diary: Day Seven
http://bhutandiary.blogspot.com/2007/06/day-seven.html
Tuesday, 1 May 2007. We descended down to the car, where Tsering managed to get our flask filled with hot water for tea. We then drove down to the valley and stopped for tea and biscuits at the King’s picnic ground at Hurji. Two men were camped here. It appeared they were travelling all over the country showing a film they had made. Then it was back to the Lodge Rinchenling. Blue Poppy Tors and Treks. Location: Bumthang, Bhutan. Wednesday, 2 May 2007. We arranged a slightly later start (8.15) and stopped in Jakar for some bottled water (only Nu 15 instead of 25 in the Lodge). We were off to Ura for the third day of the festival. We stopped just before the chorten pass to spot where we had had our picnic yesterday in the binos – Tsering was delighted! So we had tea with tea leaves that Tsering had begged off some local people! Blue Poppy Tours and Treks. Location: Ura, Bhutan. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
