Laura Noble's Blog: August 2013

http://lauraannnoble.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, 18 August 2013. Our Summer Salons and why collecting photography is important for photographers? Having lectured on collecting photography in many universities, galleries and museums around the world, there is one thing that keeps coming back to me - why don't more photographers attend them? Well the obvious answer is that they think that it's irrelevant to them as they make the photographs. True, but creating the work is only the first part of building a career as an artist in the art market.

Laura Noble's Blog: February 2013

http://lauraannnoble.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, 2 February 2013. Gene Kelly dances with a lamppost in Singin' in the Rain (. The sequence I chose (from a selection I think, bit fuzzy on that) was the title sequence from ' Singin' in the Rain. Why I picked it I do not know. I can take or leave most of the film but love this sequence a the Cyd Charisse. Where she wears the green dress - ah that's interesting - with the amazing bobbed hair - I always wanted a Louise Brooks. Cyd Charisse finds a hat. Go on let yourself enjoy it! Scene is quiet&#...

OSpooner Street Photography: August 2011

http://ospoonerstreet.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 23 August 2011. I am cheating a little with this one because it's a shot I took a couple of months ago. My aim is to write about my instants as and when they happen. Theres something so exciting and visceral about watching a shot you've just taken develop in your hands. All the frustration of duds is worth it for ones like this. Monday, 15 August 2011.
