I’m finally back home in New Jersey! It’s so hard to believe how quickly the 18 months have gone by. I already miss the kids, volunteers, and Lima, but it’s great to be home. So, I’ve definitely neglected this blog for the past couple of months. Now that I’ve finished up my time as a volunteer, I wanted to do a bit of a recap of what I’ve left out from December and January. Monthly Archives: June 2012. Things here got pretty competitive last weekend. The kids were split into 4 teams (yellow, blue, green, and red) for the school’s annual Olympics weekend, and Harriet, Rosanna, and I were on the yellow team (Equipo Amarillo). It was so nice to see Megan, Jenn, and Jasper and to have them here in Peru! The three of them came down to visit a couple of weeks ago and we hung around in Lima for a couple days before heading out to Huaraz, this little city in the Andes.
