Fort Collins: The Whirlwind – count it all joy
https://amyoftexas.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/fort-collins-the-whirlwind
Count it all joy. A slice of my journey. Fort Collins: The Whirlwind. July 16, 2015. July 16, 2015. I’ve been at my new job for less than three months and I’ve already taken off three days and had two holidays off. One of those was last Friday, which I used to join Chad and his family in Fort Collins, Colorado, for his cousin’s wedding. It was a short trip and I wanted to travel light, so I really slacked in the photo department. The rehearsal dinner was at the groom’s home, which was on about five...

iPhone Rewind: July – count it all joy

Count it all joy. A slice of my journey. August 3, 2015. August 2, 2015. July is a favorite month. I love the long days and the endless possibilities of the summer. I love the energy and spirit of Independence Day. I love traveling, which often happens in July. The big events this year were a short trip to Fort Collins. And the launching of a new community group I’m attending. But first, July Fourth. Our faithful servant leader Jon treated the exiting young adults leaders to a thank-you dinner at the wor...

Count it all joy. A slice of my journey. September 1, 2016. I was excited to surpass 400 miles at the beginning of August! My Nike app has records of all my runs dating back to 2011. If you happen to remember, I topped 300 miles. Just last December, so my mileage has definitely shot up this year. Our last summer run:. No plate, no fork, just drizzle a tiny bit of syrup and eat it with one hand. Classy. We keep getting these brief but powerful rainstorms that fill up the drainage behind our apartment....

Monday, May 7, 2012. Live And Live Well. BREATHE. Breathe in and Breathe deeply. Be PRESENT. Do not be past. Do not be future. Be now. On a crystal clear, breezy 70 degree day, roll down the windows and FEEL the wind against your skin. Feel the warmth of the sun. If you run, then allow those first few breaths on a cool Autumn day to FREEZE your lungs and do not just be alarmed, be ALIVE. Get knee-deep in a novel and. LOSE track of time. If you bike, pedal HARD… and if you crash then crash well.

Saturday, May 14, 2011. DIY Project #1 and #2. Of course we haven't finished unpacking all of our boxes or hanging anything up on the walls, but I do have a few pictures from a couple of projects that we've started! Office/Old Laundry Room Painted. After living here for almost 5 months, we've realized that the color selection is somewhat.blah. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. So much has happened since my last post, but I don't know where to start/how to get back into blogging and I find that I just keep putting it off more and more. Ran our first half marathon together (DRC Half) in November. Joined a small group through our church late November. I very rarely have the feeling of "this is exactly. Where we're supposed to be in our lives right now." but it's so nice that BOTH of us feel that way about our group. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, October 23, 2011. He's our first foster pet. We decided to become foster parents for an organization called Paws in the City. James is a 4 1/2 year old and a boxer/terrier mix. Overall, he's just a pretty fantastic guy. He had never been on carpet before. Which he seems to like. He loves riding in the car and going to Sonic Happy Hour. He shares in our love for running and stays right next to us while running/walking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow Us by Email. View my complete profile.

Wandering into adulthood: July 2012
http://wanderingintoadulthood.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Growing into the woman and wife God created me to be. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Honesty time. Lately I haven't felt much like blogging (probably because I'm not in the habit) but partially because I've been discouraged a bit. On Sunday our pastor preached on faith and made a statement I've heard before but this time it hit me a little harder. Curtis said "God always answers prayer, but he answers in 3 ways; yes, no, or not yet.". Free to Be Me by Francesca Battistelli. A war's already waged for my destiny.
