The Blocker Family: Catalina Island
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011/08/catalina-island.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. Heading out of Long Beach. Brandon caught a crab with his bare hands! It took him a while to get up the courage to grab the thing, but he was pretty proud of himself! My two sailors with Bella in the background. Everyone jumped off the boat but me and Miss. Brandon's dorky smile here is because he is trying to show off the teeth he finally lost. He ended up losing three in one week, which made him incredibly happy! Posted by Wendy Blocker. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Blocker Family: August 2011
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. I'm not normally the type of person who wants anything to do with other people's trash. But last weekend, for some impulsive reason, I picked up this beauty from the side of the road and brought it home. It was free. The plan was to re-upholster it. I had never re-upholstered anything before but I really wanted to try it. How hard could it be? Turns out, it wasn't that hard, just complicated, time-consuming, and a lot of work! The Blocker Family: June 2011
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 18, 2011. As soon as school was out, we went to St. George where Ryan's family had rented a big house for the weekend. It was so much fun! The kids played and swam with their cousins non-stop! We had good food and good times, but unfortunately I forgot my camera so I don't have a lot of pictures of the festivities. The pictures I do have, thank goodness, are the ones from Marissa's big birthday party! She was so happy! I did a whole desert table type thing. I made watermelon cookie suc...

The Blocker Family: November 2010
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 26, 2010. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! Fabulous Thanksgiving this year! All in all, a lovely day! Guns seemed to be the most popular toy up there and luckily they were. Just BB guns. Brandon had the forethought to make sure his own Red Ryder BB gun was brought along for the day and he was seldom without it. He loved hanging out with his older cousins that he doesn't get to see very often. They taught him all the finer points of shooting fish in a pond. I won't list all the things I'm thank...

The Blocker Family: Labor Day!
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011/09/labor-day.html
Monday, September 5, 2011. My sister and her family and two of my brothers came to visit us for Labor Day weekend. We had a great time hanging out and playing at the beach and it was fun to see them all, but the only picture I ended up taking the whole weekend was of the birthday cake I made for my little nephew who turned 4 on Sunday! The birthday boy was impressed. Happy Birthday Brady! Thanks for spending the weekend with us! Posted by Wendy Blocker. Best birthday cake any 4-year old could ask for!

The Blocker Family: Cousins at Temple Square
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011/08/cousins-at-temple-square.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. Cousins at Temple Square. The second day of cousins camp at Cherry Hill, we took a bunch of the cousins to Temple Square. My kids have only been there in the dead of winter, so it was nice to be able to walk around, see things, and enjoy ourselves this time. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful place to be! We also checked out the new children's section at the Church History Museum. We were so impressed! Dressing up to learn some fancy dances. The kitchen area was hilarious!

The Blocker Family: March 2011
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. Here's Marissa and Brandon in front of the house build out of old glass bottles. Pretty cool. And here's Brandon picking the nose of some old miner. He thought he was hilarious. And here's Marissa at the top of a very steep hill she climbed all by herself. The coolest part of our little trip was where we stayed: the Bunkhouse! It was a big room packed with 10 sets of bunkbeds (20 beds total) and they were almost all completely filled. They went a little slow for the older kids, bu...

The Blocker Family: April 2011
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 10, 2011. Posted by Wendy Blocker. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We are a happy family. This is our oldest. Maylan is the creative leader of our three kids. She is smart, thoughtful, and responsible. She loves to read and play school and wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She is so good to her younger brother and sister and is very helpful to me. She's a great example for her brother and sister and I'm glad she came along first in our family. This is our boy. This is our baby.

The Blocker Family: Summer's Over :(
http://theblockerfamily.blogspot.com/2011/08/summers-over.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. It was a long and busy and fun summer, but it all has to come to an end eventually. The kids started school this past week and while it's nice to have a regular schedule again and a few minutes to myself each day, I miss the relaxing and easy summer days. This was a big year for Maylan. She started middle school! I think I was more nervous than she was and she's been completely loving it! Posted by Wendy Blocker. I cant believe summer is over either!
