We really enjoy hiking in Les2Alpes. Even with small kids like ours (3 and 6 yo). From the apartment, it takes you 3 minutes to start a walk in the mountains. Before you know it, you're surrounded by trees, cows and gorgeous mountains. There are several tracks that go into the mountains or to surrounding villages. In a few cases, it's also possible to come back or go up with a lift. Some tracks are fitted to hike with children, others require a good condition. Or have a nice lunch in the village.

KIDS IN LES 2AL PES. We're a fan. The mountains have a lot to offer for kids. Skiing in the winter. For sure. They have several ski courses for kids. There are a series of slopes in the village for kids, and some of them are free. Also on the mountain (at 2.100m) they recently built a ski lift and a slope especially for children that are learning how to ski. But also after skiing, kids will find enough things to do: ice skating, sledging or joining a kids event organised by the village.

You'll be using your GPS, we assume. Type in: Route de Tête Moute. That will take you to the backside of the building. You can park there, and go through the backdoor. Or walk around, and go through one of the front doors. If you're not using a GPS, focus on getting near the firestation. The building is near to that point. The village and the road to it are easy accessible, even after heavy snowfall. N OT BY CAR. You can fly to the Airport of Grenoble. It will take you about 90 minutes to reach Les2Alpes.

Les2Alpes is surrounded by a number of historical cols. Col de Les Deux Alpes of course, col l'Alpe d'Huez, but also Galibier and col du Lauraret are nearby. Try it. It's fun… they say. See all cols nearby on a map. In the summer, the ski lifts are used to take you and your mountainbike uphill. You can then choose one of the 21 slopes to come down. Les2Alpes is perfectly accommodated to welcome MTB'ers. With practice areas, cleaning areas, adapted ski lifts and rental shops (bikes and gear).
