We had yet another short week this week thanks to the public school kids being off Monday for MLK day and then Friday for the end of the semester in service day. Of course this meant extra children in the house, which means NO schooling got done. But like I said it was a pretty short week so not too much was accomplished. When you ...

Learning Through Life: December 2009

http://www.learningthroughlifehomeschool.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Merry Christmas.a little late. I have been feeling burnt out by the fact that I have somebody to answer to in regards to our schooling and I think it has been making our journey not as enjoyable as it could be. So, we are going to fall into a little unschooling journey for the time being and just kind of flying by the seat of our pants. Sounds fun doesn't it? Sunday, December 6, 2009. Learning Through Life: Day 1....of OUR new year...

http://www.learningthroughlifehomeschool.blogspot.com/2010/01/day-1of-our-new-year.html

Monday, January 11, 2010. Day 1of OUR new year. Well this was our 1st official day back to schooling since the start of the new year and it went fairly well. I set up a new system, yet again, and it seemed to work well. I picked up a dry erase schedule strip at the dollar spot at Target way back and I just added some velcro dots to that and the back of some schedule cards and we have a loose schedule that looks something like this. Boxes 1-2 (which are Wii Fit or their daily calendars). 1 Way to Save.

Learning Through Life: Another short week....

http://www.learningthroughlifehomeschool.blogspot.com/2010/01/another-short-week.html

Monday, January 25, 2010. We had yet another short week this week thanks to the public school kids being off Monday for MLK day and then Friday for the end of the semester in service day. Of course this meant extra children in the house, which means NO schooling got done. We also learned about Van Gogh, studied a few of his more famous paintings, and learned of his life. But like I said it was a pretty short week so not too much was accomplished. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 1 Way to Save.

Learning Through Life: Work Box Wednesday.....a little late.

http://www.learningthroughlifehomeschool.blogspot.com/2010/01/work-box-wednesdaya-little-late.html

Friday, January 15, 2010. Work Box Wednesday.a little late. I had every intention of blogging this on Wednesday but got home a little late and was feeling pretty under the weather.and then yesterday I didn't get onto the computer at ALL because I was again under the weather. So here is our workbox post for the week. Our schedule for the day was a short one due to the fact that our local public school kids had a half day for teacher enrichment so I had a bunch of extra children @ 12p. Starting a diorama o...

Saturday, January 30, 2010. 52 in 52 book 3 review. 52 in 52.Book 2 review. I forgot to post a review of I'm a Stranger Here Myself after I completed it. I was not all that thrilled with this selection sadly. This book was a compilation of the faults of the American society written by an American man who spent 2 decades living in England and then moved back to the east coast. While there was some witty humor, I was left unimpressed. *sigh. Monday, January 11, 2010. Saturday, January 9, 2010. Lots of snow...
