Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Eeeewww, Battery Death. OK so here's my problem. The car came with some batteries that were not maybe real well known for reliability from a company called HAZE in China and were nearly a year old when I got the car plus who knows how they were treated while EcoMotion (the original dealer) had them. Yup, the DEKA lasted about thirty cycles - despite - the high bucks BattEQ battery management system. I wonder how the battery guy would feel if his new car developed a gas tank...

Thursday, July 23, 2009. Well, it's been a long time between posts but here we is again. Updates: There's been battery failures, the battery balancing system actually got recalled by the manufacturer.the vehicle still tries to dart into the oncoming lane, attracts valdalous whackos, won't steer straight, and bounces up and down enough so you can hear the seats creak. Despite all that we've put on over a thousand miles in the last six weeks. What can I say, we're kinda stupid that way.

Because we were showing up on Friday night and Darva had to be at Jay and Susan's for a dinner thing, Jay invited us to attend the dinner as well. I got some rather entertaining pictures at the dinner. Susan had some vintage reproduction masks that people were trying on. Doesn't Michael look like a real catch? Darva and me with Lulu. We stopped in at the Shorebird for a Mai Tai before walking along the beach. This is looking towards Diamond Head which is just barely visible behind the palm trees. Canyon Lookout while it was foggy. Dave and Michael at the Waimea. Gale and Dave at the Waimea. Gale, Dave and Kim at the Waimea. This is the road we drove down to get to the Ditch Trail for the hike that didn't quite happen. It was quite a road! Kim on the part of the Ditch Trail that we were able to navigate.
