One World -One Trip: October 2009
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
One World -One Trip. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. IT ONCE WAS LOST BUT NOW IT'S FOUND. So, here it is, just about 3 months since our last blog post. I'm sure we've lost all of our readership at this point, but something just happened that compels me to write. Eventually someone out there in the universe will stumble upon this post but until then, I'll just savor this post for myself. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Visit lisa's new website and blog. One World -One Trip: December 2008
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
One World -One Trip. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT? Chinese food - no big deal, we have all been eating in Chinese restaurants for most of our lives! We wondered what it would be like: better? Too different for our tastes? 2 Bones will come with your food - and lots of them. The meat in your dish is most likely still attached to it's bone, however, it is still cut into bite size morsels which means that the bones are in lots of little pieces. Allow extra time to eat! 6 Soup or no sou...

One World -One Trip: March 2009
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
One World -One Trip. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. FELIZ COMPLEANOS LUZ ELAINA. While our trip to Chillan hadn't been planned to coincide with Luz Eliana's birthday, our timing could not have been any better. A week after our arrival we found ourselves trotting out to Luz's childhood home in San Nicholas to celebrate her birthday. Family (lots of it since Luz has 4 sisters and 3 brothers) and friends gathered for the festivities. But the end of the meal didn't signify the end of the party! As we travelled the...

One World -One Trip: AGRA
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2009/11/agra.html
One World -One Trip. Sunday, November 8, 2009. I like thinking back to where I was a year ago. Not only is it an opportunity to relive a dream, it's an opportunity to think of someplace warm. I don't like the cold and having had a year of mild temperatures enables me to always think warm when reminiscing. As we walked to the Taj Mahal none of us discussed the fact that we had just locked all our belongings in the bathroom; it seemed normal - we were in Agra. March 26, 2010 at 3:31 AM. One World -One Trip: June 2009
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
One World -One Trip. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. THE LAST BLOG (OR NOT). Or, was I scared that it really was going to happen? We won't be doing this again, at least the way it was done the first time. Av and Si's next adventure will be one of their own, maybe backpacking in their early twenties. The old farts of the family, lisa and I, will do something travel related in the future but not soon. A year on the road takes it out of you. So what is the next frontier? Run for President (not)? Throughout the past...

One World -One Trip: October 2008
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
One World -One Trip. Friday, October 31, 2008. When we are at home we are not in the habit of taking pictures of our daily life. We take pictures of special occasions; birthdays, violin concerts, dance recitals etc. We will also take our camera with us on vacation to photograph the sites of wherever it is we are traveling to. Looking back on our photographs of Africa and now India, our most cherished memories of these countries (and probably future countries as well) will go undocumented. C'est La Vie.

One World -One Trip: HOW QUICKLY WE FORGET
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2009/11/how-quickly-we-forget.html
One World -One Trip. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. HOW QUICKLY WE FORGET. Isn't this the busiest travel time of the year? Why did I leave myself so much time? As the TSA agent scrutinizes my I.D. and gate pass a light bulb goes off in my head, I've got a knife in my purse. I wasn't the one traveling, so why should I have remembered to take it out of my bag? Back at security with that Deja Vu feeling. This time I make it all the way to the x-ray machines. "Excuse me ma'am, is this your bag?

One World -One Trip: November 2008

One World -One Trip. Sunday, November 30, 2008. MASSAGE PARLORS OF ASIA. Massages for me have always been a luxury. I like them. They make me feel special. Sometimes I feel so relaxed I fall asleep. Once, back in Cincinnati, I had one where steam was pumped into a special covered bed so my body was all warm before the masseuse started to work on me. BUT THEY WERE SO EXPENSIVE THAT THESE WERE FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS ONLY. INEXPENSIVE ONES WERE $60.00, SOME WERE ALMOST $100. WOW! Saturday, November 29, 2008.

One World -One Trip: THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
http://oneworldonetrip.blogspot.com/2010/02/the-journey-continues.html
One World -One Trip. Thursday, February 4, 2010. Lots of things in life don't die but instead evolve or get reinvented. Such is the case with this blog. This has been a great blog to write and we have had many dedicated followers over the past one and one half years. But now it's time to move on from this blog to. another blog. I have just published a new book about our year long odyssey around the world: Around the World in Easy Ways, A Guide to Planning Long-Term Travel With or Without Your Kids. Here ...
