This recipe keeps the orka tasting like a fresh vegetable with minimal goo, and a nice browning in the cast iron skillet. It is a staple in our household. Cast iron skillet okra. Okra, cut into rounds. Thinly sliced white onion. Heat a good amount of olive oil in a cast iron skillet on medium high or high until it is almost smoking.

Saute for 8 min in a nonstick pan, stirring occasionally until the onion is soft:. 2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil. 3/4 tsp cumin seeds. 3/4 tsp caraway seeds (I didn’t have any and used anise seeds, which I like better). 1 finely diced onion. 1 1/4″ piece of ginger, peeled and chopped. 1 medium red chile, seeded and finely chopped.

We outsourced (lights, photos for cards) and ordered online where possible (mostly Amazon). Earlier over the weekend, we went to the Toomeys and celebrated with 3 other families from Broomfield Academy. Welcome to the Burns Blog. Bill, Cecilia, Mason, Audrey and Sasha. Monday, February 16, 2015. Bill and I agreed not to exchange gifts or flowers for Valentine's. Instead we would go to dinner and pick a gift out together. After agreeing to that 2 weeks ago, he was puzzled when he saw I had "pick Valentine's stuff" on my weekend list. I clarified that we had 25 kids in Audrey's class and 11 kids in Mason's class to get "stuff" for, 2 class parties to buy supplies for and 2 teachers!
