I am pretty stressed out lately, but I wonder if it is rational or if I am just emotional. Here are things I worry about and lets see if I can't focus on some solutions rather than letting stuff generate pointless angst. 1a Housing: there are too many people in my apartment. A couple good friends are staying with us until they get things together to have their own place. Also a roommate, and now Mike is going to be working from home for a while = no personal space and everyone is grouchy all the time.

I tried having it as a regular personal blog, a project record, a recession hacking daily thing, and now, I am going to use it every day to post something I like. So, my good friend Valerie got me free tickets to go see the dress rehersal of La Boheme at the Portland Opera last night. It was really cool! I was kindof preparing myself to not like it that much because it is long and in another language and a style I'm not used to, and a story that I have seen a whole bunch of times. But I did enjoy it. And it was exciting to be somewhere new doing something a bit different. I'd like to live in Portland with geeks, but I have doubts about finding a job there.

Sew a lot more. Volunteer in my community. Spend more time with my Dad. Grow food in my garden. Go to more SCA events. Exercise more. make and achieve health goals. Spend time exploring the hinterlands. Go visit Kati in Nebraska. Read at least a book a month from the big odd collection at my house. Organize and deal with the many boxes or papers from my Dad's storage unit. Finish projects, or at least more of them. Get better at housework. Take more photos and document my life a bit more.

1 I want my friends to know that I will tell them the truth about what I think, even if I don't agree with them. I think this is a matter of respect and loyalty. 2 Sometimes, things I have opinions on are not really my business. In addition, drama and social politics kind of suck, and it is not uncommon that people are jerks to one another. 5 My skills of finesse and discretion are subject to error. This doesn't really excuse a wrong call. That were me. ;). Would you mind telling me how it all turned out?

It was all finished in time for the party, complete with boots (well, sock things, anyway) gloves, and a cape! For most of it, I just used old fabric I had lying around, plus a blue prom dress, and a lot of iridescent aquamarine fabric paint:. The costume in its entirety. Detail of cape and skirt train.
