Photo Days at MIT. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The new Fall Sloan MBA semester has started. Classes have begun and already my time is severely dwindling. Fortunately, interesting experiences have interspersed this beginning. Below are some pictures from team building at the Warren Center during orientation week. PS My camera broke and I will be getting one soon. Until then, pictures may be a bit scarce. Project and Team Management at its worst (and funniest! My wonderful team, the 2013 Indian Gulls!

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Summer learnin', happened so fast. As we are speeding toward having closed out two full months of our first Summer term, I thought it was high time to get a post out there that actually addresses just how fantastic the LGO experience has been thus far. Exciting. The ice was quickly broken, and before lunch, it was like 50 strangers had known each other for years. Was born. Pretty fierce stuff! Meet the BearPack. Grrrr. As a Carnegie Mellon alumni, I didn't even want to offer up my...

On October 21, 2011, a big gourp of MIT Sloan students volunteered their time and cleaned up part of the Esplanade. The Esplanade is a park area along the river where many different events happen. It also has children's playgrounds and running paths. Check out the photos below of us trying to make a difference. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Bonding in All Atmospheres. Photo Days at MIT: Nissan, Nissan, Nissan
http://photosforfood.blogspot.com/2012/03/nissan-nissan-nissan.html
Photo Days at MIT. Saturday, March 31, 2012. Nissan, Nissan, Nissan. The final visit of the trek drew us to Nissan and their Oppama plant. Here they produced their the Leaf, Juke, and a few other vehicles. Again, their tour was well thought out and flawlessly executed. There was a presentation followed by the plant tour and a Q&A session. Biggest thing I noticed was the contrast in how a Japanese car factory and an American car factory was run. Oh, and yes, that is a ship in the last picture.

LGOMG!: Long Time No Blog
http://lgomg.blogspot.com/2011/10/long-time-no-blog.html
Friday, October 21, 2011. Long Time No Blog. So, I admit it. I've been a terrible blogger. For this, I apologize and offer a. Heartfelt excuse. The last couple of months, both in my personal life and at MIT/Sloan, have been amazingly busy! An appropriate summary photograph. In what felt like little more than a hot minute after getting back from NY, Sloan Orientation started, and I got to meet my new Class of 2013 MBA classmates - all 400 of them! Working on our shelter. Who wants cheese on their burger?

LGOMG!: November 2011
http://lgomg.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 1, 2011. CMU Operations Case Competition. Another fantastic opportunity available to MIT Sloan and LGO students is participating in case competitions. Of specific interest to those of us supply chain/ops-minded folks out there is the annual International Operations Case Competition hosted by my undergrad alma mater, Carnegie Mellon University. Other LGO's were lucky enough to make the cut! We've got big shoes to fill, too - MIT has been victorious in three of the past four years!
