Letters from a Hill Farm: Rhubarb Crumb Bars

https://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2015/05/rhubarb-crumb-bars.html

Letters from a Hill Farm. Book Lists 2006 - Present. Sunday, May 17, 2015. It’s rhubarb season! Although most people use a knife, I go out with my trusty little Fiskars garden shears and cut it. This recipe comes from one I found on Martha Stewart’s page. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8x8 or 9-inch round pan with cooking spray. 6 tablespoons melted butter. Whisk together butter, sugar, and salt. Add flour and mix with a fork until large crumbs form. Mix: 1/2 pound rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces.

...it's always tea-time...: februari 2013

http://itsalwaysteatime.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Onsdag 6 februari 2013. A snowy come back. We woke up to a white world today — it has come 15 cm (6 inches) during the night, and is still snowing. After living without a camera for over a year, I’ve finally got a new one, but it is so fancy that I fear it will take a very long time before I can figure it out. Åskar is still my favorite model, so you will probably see a lot of him. Prenumerera på: Inlägg (Atom). Embrace change even if you want to run from it. Stugkatt at yahoo dot com. So who am I? http://itsalwaysteatime.blogspot.com/2013/12/on-sixth-day-of-christmas_30.html

Måndag 30 december 2013. On the sixth day of Christmas. I recommend " Roads of Destiny. WHISTLING DICK'S CHRISTMAS STOCKING. It was with much caution that Whistling Dick slid back the door of the box-car, for Article 5716, City Ordinances, authorized (perhaps unconstitutionally) arrest on suspicion, and he was familiar of old with this ordinance. So, before climbing out, he surveyed the field with all the care of a good general. Rounding a corner, the whistler collided with a mountain of blue and brass.

...it's always tea-time...: On the fifth day of Christmas

http://itsalwaysteatime.blogspot.com/2013/12/on-fifth-day-of-christmas.html

Söndag 29 december 2013. On the fifth day of Christmas. By Lillian Nicholson Shearon. There was no fault to be found with the present itself; the trouble lay in the method of transportation. This thought was definite enough in Hannah's mind, but she had to rely upon a seven-year-old vocabulary for expression, and grown-ups are notably dull of comprehension. Even mothers don't always understand without being told exactly in so many words. But, Mama, Santy Claus is going bring hers. Mrs Joseph was silent s...

...it's always tea-time...: november 2012

http://itsalwaysteatime.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Torsdag 1 november 2012. This is the treacherous month when autumn days. With summer's voice come bearing summer's gifts. Beguiled, the pale down-trodden aster lifts. Her head and blooms again. The soft, warm haze. Makes moist once more the sere and dusty ways,. And, creeping through where dead leaves lie in drifts,. The violet returns. Snow noiseless sifts. Ere night, an icy shroud, which morning's rays. Will idly shine upon and slowly melt,. Too late to bid the violet live again. 8212; I'm not my salay.

About this, that and the other. November 18, 2013. Move it, move it. On the 1st of July I loaded a GPS running app onto my iPod and started what I hoped would be a new regime of regular exercise. At the beginning of the long summer holiday a friend asked if I wanted to try and lose a bit of excess baggage in an act of solidarity with her. I said no. Then got home and changed my mind. Why not? I went back out and bought a set of scales, the first Ive ever really owned. Posted at 06:00 AM. November 17, 2013.

Letters from a Hill Farm

Letters from a Hill Farm. Book Lists 2006 - Present. Saturday, March 31, 2018. Quote du jour/Oscar Wilde. I wasn't wild, if you'll excuse the pun, with the quote by Oscar Wilde on the March entry of my Irish Writers Calendar. So I shall share another quote from him in these last minutes of March. The Soul is born old, but it grows young;. That is the comedy of life. The Body is born young and grows old;. That is life's tragedy. Labels: Quote du jour. Sunday, March 25, 2018.
