eBook readers - Facets of BrettW
http://brettw.livejournal.com/235172.html
Nov 15th, 2009 at 9:48 AM. Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting Karly (i.e. Karly and I) an eBook reader for Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations/anti-recommendations? I'm especially looking for Australians, since things are different in Australia vs the US. We have PCs and not Macs, if that makes any difference (plus wireless in the house). 4 comments Leave a comment. Nov 15th, 2009 09:03 am (UTC). H.A.M.O.K. - coherent light: infrared to blue

HamOK - coherent light: infrared to blue. Website (the Project Dump). November 29th, 2007. After lots of ghetto engineering, I am posting this from my truly enormous ( queen sized ) hammock slung underneath my loft bed! It's still not hung perfectly ( it's a little steep still ), but I am very happy with it. I name it "H.amO.K.", Hempen Appliance Made Only by Knitting. Kneel before H.amO.K! Sep 20th, 2009 at 11:31 PM. Karly is organizing a conference and it kicks off tomorrow. To help her relax before it all, I offered to cook a fancy meal. Here's the menu:. Starter) Roast tomato and mint soup. Mains) Pan-fried chicken with a polenta crust, roast maple pumpkin slices and a potato-and-sweetcorn mash. Dessert) Fig, honey and ginger icecream, with baked caramelized wonton sails and a chunk of homemade honeycomb. I can provide recipes if anyone is interested. 4 comments Leave a comment. After t...

Journal of the Unknown Blogger

Journal of the Unknown Blogger. Whacko of the Good Kind. Nov 15th, 2008. The weather has been rather depressing throughout my New York visit, and I think this reflects the prevailing mood of the place. As a major center of finance in the US, this is a city where the economic downturn is really being felt. Many of the firms I've visited are in the midst of "rationalisation", with heavy job losses. An empire in turmoil ( 2 photos). Posted at 07:12 pm. Aug 10th, 2008. Photo: Under the bonnet. Aug 3rd, 2008.
