Shad and Andrea: October 2011
http://theschipkes.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 8, 2011. We went to Mitchell Farms this weekend. We had a great time. We met Shauna, William, Cait. And baby #2 there. We have always wanted to go.but kinda felt weird going without a kid. Shad has been tempted to "rent a kid" every year so that we could go and "fit in". So now that Lawson is here :) we can go and not feel out of place! Walking in the maze. Looking at the boy goats. Picking out the best pumpkin. Riding on the train. Posted by Andrea Schipke. Shad played football and was a defensive end in college. he was good. He was a quarterback's nightmare. Football was a huge part of his life growing up. There's No Place Like Home. Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here." 1 Peter 2:11. Saturday, June 19, 2010. A lot of catching up to do. Well, we survived camp! We were reminded of the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego and their obedience to the Lord. They risked it all for that obedience and trusted the Lord through that circumstance even if it meant to lose their life! But even if." Daniel 3:16-18. Just a few more classes. Shad and Andrea: Spearfish, South Dakota
http://theschipkes.blogspot.com/2015/07/spearfish-south-dakota.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Spearfish, South Dakota. Shad's family has a 130 year rustic cabin in Spearfish Canyon. It's surrounded by beautiful scenery, a mostly constant breeze, a inside spring and it lacks wifi, TV, running water, and cell service. This is a special place were he and his family and the generations before have made beautiful memories. So we planned to all go up and create some memories with the cousins for a week. This is our carry on baggage. Barrett was excited for his first flight.

There's No Place Like Home. Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here." 1 Peter 2:11. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Weyt] verb - to remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens; to be available or in readiness. WAIT - It's just a simple four letter word, but it sure does tag along a plethora of emotions. It seems for so long I've been in this stage of availability and readiness. I have often questioned, "How much longer will I wait, Lord? LIFE AS A GINN.
