Clarkson Connection: December 2012
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. Stuart Construction - Week 5. Week 5 - December 17-23, 2012. Another week of huge visual progress; at least for us! The foundation has taken so much longer to complete than a traditional foundation normally would. B and I totally trust our builder and the structural engineer, but ugh, I am about done looking at stuff being done under the ground! And, at the end of this week, we were able to call our foundation done and complete! After this week let the vertical progress begin!

Clarkson Connection: January 2013
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. B and I have been living with my parents a little over 5 months. It's been going great, but with the stress of the house build, the fact that we haven't been out of town up to Breck in awhile, and with the upcoming long MLK weekend, we decided to take advantage of the mountain house. We invited some good friends up with us that have girls the same age as our kids. We had such a great time with them, and were so happy that they came up to spend their long weekend with us too!

Clarkson Connection: September 2012
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. Haylee going to preschool was challenging, exciting and fun at the same time. When she started at Little Lights, she was so little, she hadn't quite turned 3 yet, and didn't seem like she could be big enough to be in preschool! Here she is, ending her time at LL and moving onto Kindergarten as a 5 year old. I don't know how she got so big so fast! Saturday, September 29, 2012. Although this was in the spring, I feel the need to share the pictures from this day. We got together...

Clarkson Connection: August 2013

Sunday, August 18, 2013. What Is This Man Cave Thing? Although there have been posts about the man cave, I think that they have been sandwiched in with the house, so I am going to repost some of the pictures again. Prepping the area for the future man cave! The sides are going up! Roof trusses and windows going in! The siding going up. Saturday, August 17, 2013. Last Day of School. I can't believe that H is at the end of her first year in grade school. Where did the time go? Sunday, August 4, 2013. C sta...

Clarkson Connection: Ugh, manual labor.....
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2013/12/ugh-manual-labor.html
Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Ugh, manual labor. I have never been one to shy away from doing home improvement stuff. I have never been one to say that if I am going to sweat a little or break a nail (or all 10 of them) I won't help B around the house. What I guess I didn't realize when we bought our little slice of the country in the city is that our money literally wouldn't get us anywhere when it came to landscaping! Nick was great at getting the vision we wanted and helped us fix some things that wou...

Clarkson Connection: Big Boy turns 4
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2013/12/big-boy-turns-4.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. Big Boy turns 4. This was our first party that we got to have in the new house, so we had friends and family over to help break in the new house and celebrate our little man turning 4! Of course there ALWAYS has to be a theme to the party. This year was Legos. C has been so obsessed with Legos and will literally spend hours just sitting and building, so it was perfect! We found the invite on Etsy, and worked with the shop owner to make it perfect. C helping to move cakes!

Clarkson Connection: October 2012
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 27, 2012. Byron putting in the stake for the mailbox. Shows how high the mailbox is off the ground. It's sooo tall! Sunday, October 21, 2012. Since May, B and I have been working really hard to find a house plan that met all of our needs and then fit that into a realistic budget to build. I mean, if you are going to build, why not build your dream house that you are going to live in forever, right? Finding a builder that can do that was a completely different ball game. It was driving m...

Clarkson Connection: April 2012
http://clarksonconnection.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. So I know this a about a month old, but this was the first Easter dinner that I had at my house and I am so proud of all the work, I had to do a post! Enjoy the pictures of the afternoon! For the four younger cousins, I hid 15 eggs in the backyard for each of them. We turned them lose, and they had such a great time. This is the first time in egg hunt tradition that we have NOT lost an egg! After the egg hunt it was dinner time. We had a great spread of food! View my complete prof...

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Stuart Construction - Week 18. Week 18 March 18-24, 2013. They sprayed the texture this week, and man, is that humid and smelly. It's awesome to see the texture up and see the walls taking shape and becoming less and less like a job site and more homey. Ceiling in the entry way. Looking to the study from family room. Master Bedroom, looking into bathroom. Ceiling in dining room. Looking from front door into house (family room). Here's to progress continuing. We are a bit beh...

Thursday, April 11, 2013. Stuart Construction - Week 20. Week 20 - April 1-7, 2013. So, this should have been the week that we finished up the house (according to our original deadline that we set about a billion years ago! Even though the house isn't totally finished up, we are getting closer. The finishing work is getting done and I am getting more and more excited as the time for our house to be done approaches. Door on L: Hall Coat Closet. Door in Center: Laundry Room. Door on R: Powder Room. Another...
