Each year during National Hospital and Healthcare Week, Broaddus Hospital has an egg drop contest just for employees. An egg drop works this way:. Place a raw egg in a lightweight box. The physical integrity of the egg cannot be compromised in any way such as boiling or freezing. Protective packaging is added to the box. At the end of the contest, five Mansfield Place residents were the winners!

Friday, August 27, 2010. Sarah noticed an elderly woman standing alone by the curb across the street. The patient was obviously tired, and seemed to be frustrated. Sarah crossed the street and asked the woman if she was okay. The woman revealed that she had been waiting on her ride for more than an hour!
