I created a new blog to record our trip to Alaska but I was having so much trouble with it, I deleted it! I had posted on it four times and each time I would re-publish the last three posts, they would stay on the blog for a little while and disappear. After messing with it for three days, I gave up! The Monday following Pioneer Days I helped sponsor a Youth Health Summit at Community College providing t-shirts I designed, for the conference. The attending "high risk" students had to fill out an information sheet on tobacco to receive their t-shirt. A lot of great prizes were given out like an IPod and 2 - XBox 360's (If you don't know what they are, and I didn't, ask a kid!

Thursday, my FCA peer leaders gave anti-spit presentations to 100 kids at Wildcat Basketball Camp. They did a great job and the kids really paid attention! The trophy is what they won for their parade float. It might be because we bribed the judges by giving them each a t-shirt! Posted by Linda @ 8:00 PM. SCAT students from Texico set-up the parade float made by the Clovis FCA/SCAT students and conducted a survey at the rodeo entrance and gave out 100 t-shirts. We were thrilled that due to our efforts last year, our rodeo did not accept tobacco sponsorship this year! Posted by Linda @ 7:30 PM. Yesterday Phil, Rusty, Pat and some other dudes went pheasant hunting in western Kansas near Dodge City. I guess that area is to pheasant hunting what Alaska is to salmon. They had a GREAT!
