Tattoo Kris: revisiting the walker
http://tattookris5.blogspot.com/2009/03/revisiting-walker.html
Wednesday, March 4, 2009. One piece of art i found interesting was was jasper johns optical illusion using a flag. I have tried to include a hyperlink that includes a picture of this image as well as a bit of exterior information, but i have had problems trying to post this picture and with the link so heres the web address (http:/ www.wfu.edu/art/ac johns flags.htm). March 9, 2009 at 7:34 PM. Is there any commentary or meaning to be found there? Does it suggest that the "real" flag is just an illusion?

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. We went to the Midway art gallery and the featured show was work by Melba Price. When you enter the gallery you are presented with realistic paintings of unique faces. Her show includes fifty portraits of individuals that are painted similarly but differ in ethnicity, color and mood. . Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Over all I really enjoyed this trip to the gallery, and by far enjoyed it more so then the Walker and the MIA. It felt much more personal and real because the space was smaller and beacause it was only showing one artists work. . March 3, 2009 at 4:00 PM. When I looked at some of the pictures, too. The expressions and personas were really well captured and I like that you expressed that aspect. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Meldahl: March 2009

Monday, March 2, 2009. When I saw the smashed car at the walker I used my worldview to really guide. My interpretation of this piece. Of art. I have a very strong feeling towards the idea of death and what I think the right way is to deal with the loss of a life. I think the car being taken apart and then put back together and painted over, really took away from it externally and made it more of an internal piece. Of art. It really left it up to the viewer. To choose how they wanted to look at this piece.
