Tuesday, October 08, 2013. There is a little place I know in northern Minnesota called Bemidji. It is one of my favorite corners of the world! I first went there in 2008 when my parents were visiting. They took Ben and I over to Bemidji for a night and we canoed and went to see the Headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park. It was so beautiful, it captured our hearts forever. And reading 'Dad is Fat'. Out loud. And it felt kind of like a honeymoon! The water is so clear and beautiful.

Yesterday evening I so enjoyed taking my oldest daughter, Ivy Lane, out for some together-time. we went over the Family Fun Night at Lincoln Park. what a sweet community party sponsored by the parks department. we hooped it up on the swings, then got to sit in the grass to watch a 'traveling fun show' (their words, not mine! Friday, June 28, 2013. Believe it or not, these pictures are from a quiet family room in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). After we missed our 7AM flight we found ourselves stranded at MSP with our kids for 5 hours before our first flight even departed. Ben and I were starting to worry how the girls would handle that. I was pretty cocky last night when I joined the throng of girls just out of yoga and aging, glam hippies at the local WholeFoods to pick up my stuff from my detox food list.
