The view was amazing and the ride up and down were gre. At as long as you didn't mind the heights. At the top we were up 10, 378 ft. When we got to Phoenix we got to visit my cousin Rusty. It was so good to see him! The boys returned and we took of for sushi. I had sushi once before with my dad in Indianapoli...

Life in Kansas: I am blessed

http://www.lisakietzman.blogspot.com/2008/10/i-am-blessed.html

I've moved from Michigan to Kansas to teach Early Childhood Special Education! Tuesday, October 28, 2008. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I am a very blessed person. There are many reasons from friends to family to co-workers. I never realized how many gifts I've been given and how important they are to me. As I have begun sharing my life with Shawn I'm finding I say "that was a gift" a lot. Most of the time it's things like guitar stands, capos, and Dominic Hasek. She had locked the Husky.

Life in Kansas: Spiders and dead rabbits

http://www.lisakietzman.blogspot.com/2008/10/spiders-and-dead-rabbits.html

I've moved from Michigan to Kansas to teach Early Childhood Special Education! Saturday, October 4, 2008. Spiders and dead rabbits. I have to start off by saying tonight I saw a BLACK WIDOW spider for the first time! In my house I've seen wolf spiders. They are about the size of a quarter, hairy and very fast. Luckily they are not poisonous. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Spiders and dead rabbits. View my complete profile.

The Ruiter Family: Happy Birthday Weston!

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2009/12/happy-birthday-weston.html

Thursday, December 10, 2009. It's hard to believe that our baby is 1 already! He's such a fun little guy, with LOTS of energy and smiles. Weston's walking and talking (okay, he says mama, maema (grandma), dada, and peez (please - I want that! These do technically count as words! He is ALL boy as he is constantly climbing, wrestling with his brother and he LOVES to play with anything with wheels (tractors, cars, trains, purple barbie convertibles, etc.). The Ruiter Family: January 2011

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 2, 2011. A Little Snow Goes a Long Way! When Addie got up this morning she was so excited that, "winter is back! So Addie, Holden and I went out to play for a little while after church today. Once we got out there and realized that we did not have enough snow for a snow tunnel, all they wanted me to do was pull them in the sled (since it didn't go down our mostly grassy hill). We got a new camera for Christmas so I figured it was the perfect chance to check it out.

The Ruiter Family: November 2009

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 30, 2009. We enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving weekend outing to the Tree Farm to pick out our Christmas tree. While there was no snow this year, there was plenty of MUD! The mud in combination with Weston's new found love of walking, NOT being carried, made for a "fun" time for all! Always an adventure, the truck broke down on the way to the farm, so we ended up taking the van.not as much fun for the kiddos (or dad), but we enjoyed our time just the same. The Ruiter Family: "I'm so sick"

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2009/11/im-so-sick.html

Monday, November 2, 2009. It's been quite rainy and gloomy around here, which I'm convinced makes sick kids feel sicker. They've been cooped up, coughing, wheezing, sneezing and snotting.but I still think they're cute nonetheless. Addie the cowgirl, Holden wearing triple pairs of underwear (just in case! And Weston with beautiful blue eyes to help offset the green boogery nose! You have the cutest looking sick kids around. If they were older I might think they were just trying to get out of school.

The Ruiter Family: April 2009

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 16, 2009. In honor of planting season, the 3-2 boy-girl ratio in our house and the fact that my husband has put up with a rather obnoxious girly blog the past month, I changed our blog background. If only they had a Thomas the Train/Princess/Burp Cloth/Diet Coke/John Deere combo, then we'd REALLY reflect this house and it's personalities! Friday, April 3, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saturday, November 28, 2009. Wellwe attempted to get a family picture this month. Thanks to our good friend Holly, along with her 3 kiddos, for their excellent job on getting everyone (almost everyone) to look at the camera and smile! The picture looks great! The Ruiter Family: June 2011

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 2, 2011. Almost as if Weston Found an Old Friend. I came across these pictures from when we were in Erie at the zoo over spring break. Weston and this ape (baboon.orangutan.whatever) sat and looked at each other for at least 2 minutes. Then at about the same time they both walked away. It always makes me smile. The Ruiter Family: October 2009

http://cbruiterfamily.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 24, 2009. It's hard to believe it, but Holden is 3 years old already! He LOVES Thomas the Train (anything Thomas.trains, books, videos, hats, etc.). He also enjoys painting, playing outside, singing and dancing (twinkle toes). He had several birthday celebrations this year, and he enjoyed them ALL! Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Mama's choice.let's PAINT pumpkins this year! The kids were more than happy with this option. As you can see, everyone involved took this very seriously! Grandpar...

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Interview in Quilting Arts Magazine. I was recently selected as a featured artist for the August/September 2013 issue of Quilting Arts Magazine. It was a fantastic experience working with the QA folks and Lyric Kinard. Did a wonderful job on the article. I hope you will purchase a copy of the magazine when it hits the stands in July. In the meantime, you can read an excerpt from the interview on the publisher's blog. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Quilt National 13 Opening Weekend.
