Lisa Reads Too Much: February 2012

http://www.lisareadstoomuch.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Lisa Reads Too Much. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Review of The Final Summit by Andy Andrews. I have read several of Andy Andrews’ books and The Final Summit is my favorite by far. I found the story line to be very interesting and I liked meeting all of the historical figures and learning new things about them. I found the premise that all of these people from different eras in time meet and discuss the problem to be very intriguing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Review of The Final Summit by Andy Andrews.

Lisa Reads Too Much. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Review of Constantly Craving by Marilyn Meberg. When I read the title of Marilyn Meberg”s book, Constantly Craving, I was hoping it would help me with my constant craving for food when I wasn’t hungry. Although that is not one of the topics covered in her book, I did enjoy Constantly Craving. Marilyn talks about our different cravings: for excitement, romance, contentment, meaning, purpose, revenge, and heaven. She discusses where some of these develop.

All the -ing's I do and some I don't. Monday, May 25, 2015. Centralia by Mike Dellosso. With all that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed Mike Dellosso's Centralia. And I'm a little disappointed that I have to wait until 2016 to read the next installment! The story is fast paced and full of twists and turns. Ryan's faith plays an integral part of the story and ultimately becomes the key for the answers he's been searching for. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get a copy of WalkTBR. http://handsonhomearts.blogspot.com/2015/08/gypsy-blood.html

All the -ing's I do and some I don't. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Lately, I've also been toying with the idea of buying a home much too large for us and filling it with people. Either a retreat center or a bed and breakfast in the mountains somewhere close to a swimming hole. That could be caused by reading too many Deep Haven books from Susan May Warren. Not that you want to come over and help me clean, but we shouldn't be so shocked at the concept, people used to do that, I saw it with my own two eyes&#...

All the -ing's I do and some I don't. Monday, July 27, 2015. Mind of Her Own by Brandmeyer. Mind of Her Own by Diana Leslie Bandmeyer was a delight to read. In fact, once I really got started in it, I finished in a day or two. The style of writing is easy to follow and descriptive. I enjoyed the story of Louisa/Jazz, even though some parts of the plot were a easy to see coming. Should I let go of events that have hurt me in order to become more of my true self? All the -ing's I do and some I don't. Monday, July 20, 2015. I'm on Facebook. Sometimes I think that might be a mistake, but I go there, I check things, read about people I know, write down stuff. I see what others are sharing and it's mainly all the fun stuff. You know the water parks and vacations and things of that nature. And I'm over here thinking, "Well, we made it out of the house for groceries this week.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get a copy of WalkTBR. A Few Words About Me.
