Sunday, 2 November 2014. October 2014 Photo Scavenger Hunt. I can't believe the last time I posted was for last month's scavenger hunt! I'm sorry about that, but here are my interpretations for this month. Only One Orange Smartie. I'll let you into a secret. When my kids were little I would see their Grandad most weeks and he would give me a tube of Smarties for each of them. After a few years my daughter remarked that there were orange Smarties pictured on the tube but there were never any in them.

Thursday, 21 August 2014. At the beginning of the week I went to Edinburgh with my daughter for the Fringe Festival. Although there's all kinds of performances at the Fringe - theatre, comedy, music and dance; it was comedy we were after. There are so many acts to choose from (The Royal Mile is littered with people giving out flyers), some free and some paid for; and in some very unusual places. This small stage on the other hand was where we saw a two man improv group (is two a group? Who were very funny.

Saturday, 29 June 2013. Red and yellow and pink and blue. I've been to see how those tadpoles were getting on, and saw that the poppies in amongst the oil seed rape are looking better than ever. The tadpole numbers have diminished quite a lot, but that's not surprising because there's fish, ducks and the odd swan or two sharing the same water. I didn't see any little froglets out of the water yet, but these ones have only a stub of a tail left so I don't think it will be long. Saturday, 22 June 2013.

For anyone who hasn't heard of it, it's a tree top adventure where you cross from tree to tree by different methods, go down zip wires and swing into cargo nets. We've been to the one at Sherwood Forest before, so knew what to expect, although all the courses around the country are different.
