April 02, 2017. How to crystallise flowers. This is one of the projects from my new book - 101 Brilliant Things for Kids to do with Science. 0160;Considering this book took me half of last year to write and nearly killed me in the process, I have been rather remiss about mentioning it on this blog. This is because I bought a pub with some friends and got distracted (yes really). Shallow bowl or plate. These brilliant cake decorations will make everyone gasp and say wow - those flowers look. Next go and p...

little green fingers: Indoor gardening with children
http://littlegreenfingers.typepad.com/little_green_fingers/indoor-gardening-with-children
April 29, 2016. Cake decorating with edible flowers. My daughter has big ideas. Lots of them. This is brilliant and I love her for it. The only downside is I often get dragged into these ideas and, quite frankly, theyre exhausting. Take last week for example. Mummy, can we make some cupcakes? Archie wants to take them in for everyone in drama club. You know. for his birthday. And theyll need decorating. As I said. exhausting. Thankfully, I had just taken delivery of Petal, Leaf, Seed. So we topped the ...
Building fairy houses - little green fingers
http://littlegreenfingers.typepad.com/little_green_fingers/2014/08/building-fairy-houses.html
Laquo; The summer holiday 'I'm bored' jar. Harvesting potatoes with the under-5s ». August 20, 2014. Mummy We just want to see how the wet room turned out. So perhaps its no shock that the hit activity of this summer holidays has been making fairy houses. The rules - if indeed making fairy houses needs rules - is that all elements should be natural (terracotta required a judges ruling, but as I was the judge, it passed). And thats basically it. . Im just waiting to see how the wet room shapes up.
How to create a sunken trampoline - little green fingers
http://littlegreenfingers.typepad.com/little_green_fingers/2009/02/how-to-create-a-sunken-trampoline.html
Laquo; How do you get children interested in gardening? Create a pine cone bird feeder ». February 02, 2009. How to create a sunken trampoline. I think a sunken trampoline has to be my favourite family garden. Feature. Its a simple enough idea but solves so many headaches. Its safer, less intrusive and popular with everyone. . With sunken trampolines, so I now consider myself, if not an expert, certainly au fait with the ups and downs (no pun intended). So what do you do? First, measure up. 0160;- I have...

Non-native Francophone adventures in London. J’étudie, tu étudies, elle étudie …. March 26, 2010. It’s been a while. What can I say? So I guess I’ll just start over and backfill as and when it becomes necessary. But another link caught my eye from the image at...

Raision kaupunginkirjaston käsityö- ja askartelublogi. Torstai 9. huhtikuuta 2015. 144 Käskorissa virkataan servettirenkaita. Näiden virkkaamiseen voi käyttää villa-tai puuvillalankaa. Servettirenkaita on mukava viedä vaikka tuliaiseksi kyläreissulla. Samalla ohjeella voit tehdä myös pieniä ruusuja. Alla oleva valko-sininen servettirengas on virkattu ohuesta puuvillalangasta. Joskus kirppariltakin saattaa tehdä löydön :) kuten alla. Nähdään Käskorissa 14.4. Torstai 2. huhtikuuta 2015. Kirjassa selostetaa...

Go outside and play! Tuesday, March 4, 2014 written by: Laetitia Maklouf. Lovely parcel in the mail the other day. I don’t think that childish thrill of getting a parcel in the post will ever leave me. Brown paper packages and all that…. This one was in a jiffy bag, and it contained Dawn Isaac’s new book:. Stern face to self*). I showed her Dawn’s book when I got home, and asked her to mark everything in it that she’d like to do. This was the result, and I think it speaks volumes:. Did you like this?

Little Green Fingers - Living with plants
A Quick Look on the Urban Jungle Book – Living and Styling with Plants. bringing the environment into schools
Bringing the environment into schools. Children love gardening. And, as the government now recognises with the inclusion of gardening in the new curriculum, it’s good for them too. The downside is that gardening can be messy, highly time-consuming and difficult to plan and incorporate into the school day. This is where I can help. Why not consider how you can enrich your curriculum with tailored gardening sessions?

little green fingers
April 11, 2017. How to grow magic roots. This project from 101 Brilliant Things for Kids to do with Science. Falls under the indoor gardening category - which, given the vagaries of Easter weather, is no bad thing. Plants are pretty good at making lots more of themselves - and not just from seeds. In fact they can quite often grow new roots from a tiny snipped off stem which is a bit like growing a new pair of feet out of a tiny finger - except. Amazingly within 2-6 weeks (depending on the plant) you sho...
