Sunday, October 16, 2011. Well, now that we've gotten through our first work week with no sleep, we are definitely ready to relax this weekend! We made the 4-hour trek down to El Paso, and though we really wanted to visit. The drive went okay, overall. The last 5 nights have been very sleepless. We've solicited the help of many friends (shout-out to Laura and Amanda! Initially, she was crying for up to 30 minutes at a time, but now it's down to 5-10 minutes, and then she crashes. After a nice, long walk!

Monday, September 26, 2011. We pick up Vida in 13 days! Yes, I'm counting :) Everyone keeps asking if we've gone shopping for "stuff" for her, but we've been so busy with life that we haven't gotten around to it. Any suggestions on crates, toys, beds, food, ANYTHING? Maybe one of these. We're hoping to do a little shopping next weekend. Here is our most recent picture of her - about 2 weeks ago. Apparently, this is the only way she will sleep. Isn't she getting fat? It's the annual Balloon Fiesta.

Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Well, now that Pak and I are getting settled in Albuquerque, we decided it is (yes, already) time to add to our family of two. Our criteria, you ask? Well, a loving pup that would be open to adding to the family when the time was right, a medium-sized dog that would weigh less than our supply of red wine, and not a pitbull. (I apologize to those of you who like pits, but they just creep us out a bit). In the meantime, one of the few breeders we contacted was a Vizsla.
