Jen and Gidon's Late Edition. All the news that's fit to print (and be read by our friends and relatives). Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Our first Rosh Hashanah in the new house. Apples and honey (Sivan was too young to have honey last year, so this was her first time). Grilled salmon (Sivan loves salmon, and I could barely get it on her plate before she devoured each piece). Rice with pine nuts. Posted by Jen and Gidon. Friday, September 04, 2009. Before I start talking about what's been going on with us...

Jen and Gidon's Late Edition. All the news that's fit to print (and be read by our friends and relatives). Friday, August 24, 2007. One week to go! We leave for Israel one week and one day from today. Yesterday, I took out my suitcase and backpack and started packing. First and foremost, I started with the most essential part of my luggage- the damn one quart plastic bag I have to use to pack all my liquid items which I can put in my carry-on. What liquids, you ask? Wednesday, August 15, 2007. In Belltow...

Jen and Gidon's Late Edition. All the news that's fit to print (and be read by our friends and relatives). Wednesday, October 31, 2007. On the news today, I heard a story about how trick-or-treaters are using technology to scope out the best neighborhoods in Seattle for Halloween loot. I told him I might stop by after Gidon (aka my bodyguard) gets home, and Bob promised not to scare me so I don't pop the baby right out in fright! First trick-or-treaters arrived at 6:40- five kids! Jen and Gidon's Late Edition. All the news that's fit to print (and be read by our friends and relatives). Thursday, September 20, 2007. Found: two blue silicone potholders. Still lost: one fuzzy purple towel. During the packing process, we used towels to cushion fragile items and add bulk to heavy boxes that we didn't want to over pack. All of our towels were accounted for pretty quickly except for one- an extra large, ultra soft microfiber towel. All the boxes have been opened, and I still can'...We ca...

I put photos of our new place on Flickr, so you'll have to go here. To look at them. I realize that I don't have a picture of the front of the house. Check this set of photos again (Greenwood house) next week to see if I've updated it. :). PS After nearly a week of hunting, I finally found our mug of pens! I don't have to write with Crayola markers anymore!

We've just come back from one trip and now we're preparing for another. Last year, we thought we'd be going to Israel in December, but Nebby put a wrinkle in those plans. Like last year, our trip is for early September, but this time we get to stay for Rosh Hashanah! For now, I must run and make my darling husband's dinner before he gets home! So I'm fina...

Jen and Gidon's Late Edition. All the news that's fit to print (and be read by our friends and relatives). Friday, November 23, 2007. Thanksgiving was yesterday, but we celebrated it last Sunday because today is our due date and with all the contractions and cramping that I've had lately, we didn't want to take any chances and be left without turkey (and leftovers) for the holiday. Along with turkey, I made a hearty dressing with lots of goodies. In the hopes that he would avoid more injuries. Howeve...
