Moop and Saba: A Beautiful Inheritance
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-beautiful-inheritance.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. There are certain times of the year that I miss her more than others. Is one of them. She was due this day, the same day my sister Kiley made her appearance. I thought for sure our girl would be a repayment of the sorrow in losing my sister. I stood on the church stage singing on August 19. And the tears fell so hard that I couldn’t even get the words out. My soul surrendered another anguishing exhale as my heart worshiped the God who gives and takes away. Days turned into weeks th...

Moop and Saba: May 2015
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. Elijah {Just Like Us}. The worship of Yahweh was at stake. God raised up Elijah to turn the Israelite’s hearts back to the One True God. Ahab, the evil King of Israel would rather have his ears tickled than hear the truth. He quickly started calling Elijah, “the troubler of Israel.”. Who was this man, so fearless and mighty, that he would dare deliver God’s words of judgment? Elijah found himself a day’s journey into the wilderness where he prayed to die. After God met his physica...

Moop and Saba: The Roar of the Lion
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-roar-of-lion.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. The Roar of the Lion. When Satan sprawled the news of Cecil the lion all over the headlines, I about came undone. I'm not here to talk about whether or not we should kill animals. I'm here to say that Satan is always throwing. Our way to get our eyes off of what really matters. In these times, what really matters is THE lion. His name is Jesus and He is the lion of the tribe of Judah. This title is found in Revelation chapter 5. Can you hear His roar? THIS TRUE LION is roaring.

Moop and Saba: March 2015
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. The Three Stories of Desire. It's the word desire. That stands out this time. While reading the Easter story and asking for a fresh perspective, this word leaps off the page three times in the span of two chapters. Perhaps it is because my word for the year is delight and. I have never caught this or thought about it, but there are three main characters in this dramatic scene that all use this word. First, Jesus. Then, Satan. And lastly, Herod. The first mention of the word desire.

Moop and Saba: Making Ourselves at Home in God's Love {John 15}
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015/07/making-ourselves-at-home-in-gods-love.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Making Ourselves at Home in God's Love {John 15}. Just think of it. All of this life giving sap comes from one source alone:. Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. All who feast on this sap will be taken care of forever by the Father-Farmer. The true church of God will never be destroyed. The gates of hell will not prevail against His Bride. We, the church, have one primary role, knowing that there is only one thing that we can offer such a life-giving King:. We permit these tea...

Moop and Saba: Her Hometown
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015/05/her-hometown.html
Friday, May 15, 2015. We packed up the van, toddler included. It was me, Asher, Mom, Amelia, and my Nana and Grandad. We drove past the land of Goshen into Nana's hometown of Hunstville. Now, the Huntsville I know is not the Huntsville she showed us. Who knew there were so many back roads in Madison County? Here are a few pictures. Some are ruins and others are pieces of land where the houses should have been. The first pic is where she was born and the last is her. My Grandad threw in some stories as we...

Moop and Saba: True Light
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015/07/true-light.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. It permeates through the screen and jumps onto my skin, daring to seep deeply. It percolates and drips slowly at first and then alarmingly fast until the whole pot is discolored black. It mocks me at the checkout line and sneers at me when I turn on the television. From the looks of things, it appears as though the darkness has won. So many are enslaved in this affair with the pitch black. The black flag of evil is flying high. But, it isn’t my banner. We must ask Jesus to blow ont...

Moop and Saba: April 2015
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Happy #2 Asher Tate! Monday, April 27, 2015. Fellowship on the River '15. I really dig this day every year. We gather as a huge church body down by the riverside to eat, chat it up, listen to our awesome band, and play. It brings such a sense of unity to have everyone together, laughing and sharing life. Asher enjoyed a steady diet of Cheetos and dirt and decided going down the slide head first is. Saturday, April 25, 2015. The Love of a True Friend. But, this man was. Everyone...

Moop and Saba: June 2015
http://moopandsaba.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The Day that Sin was Embraced. I want to tell you a story. A story of the day that sin was embraced all in the name of grace. Eric and Eli were in soccer camp in Jackson, MS. Barbara had joyfully agreed to watch Asher and Sam so I could take Cade to his state baseball tournament in Benton. It was going to be a hot one and I didn’t want to worry about the littles dehydrating. Plus, I thought it would be much more fun to actually watch baseball instead of the toddler. All day long w...
