Wednesday, December 28, 2016. A beautiful Island in Mississippi. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, about 11 miles off Mississippi's Coast, is a little piece of paradise. West Ship Island is an undeveloped barrier island with white sandy beaches and beautiful blue green water. The island is accessible by ferry or private boat only. Ship Island Excursions runs the ferry service leaving from Gulfport. It is a pleasant 50 minute ride that usually involves watching dolphins and feeding seagulls along the way.

It is located along the shoreline of the beautiful Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Every season brings something new to see at the garden. Right now, Autumn in the Woodlands and the Mum Fest are in full swing with thousands of chrysanthemum blooming throughout the gardens. There are surprises around every corner.

Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Boca Grande - Gasparilla Island - Florida. If tropical secluded beaches where you can swim, snorkel, fish, and find tons of beautiful shells sounds good to you, then Boca Grande is the perfect place. Boca Grande was recommended to us by an older couple that spend the winter in Florida every year. They told us that is was absolutely beautiful. Well, they were right! The drive to the beach is simply beautiful! Most of the homes are surrounded by tropical foliage and flowers.
