I am typically a tight wad. I do not like spending money- especially on NEW things. So this feels like a big SPLURGE. That's why it takes me so long to finish things. I also don't like to buy anything because I'm still trying to get rid of stuff! So if I do, I need to be SURE it will work and it's something I really, REALLY want and love. And that I will like it for many years to come. It especially feels big because I also recently went to Hobby Lobby- for the first time in FIVE YEARS! My AZ wall is a b...

Credit source: Allie Brosh. I lost 19 lbs because of my forced starvation diet. But I am SO glad I had the twenty lbs to loose! My beloved Taimi grandma and her friend Phyllis frequently told me in my youth-. Hold on to your weight in your middle years because you will need it when you are old! I know they meant it for the senior years and. I am not quite. There yet. But still. Hold on to your weight in your middle years-. You might NEED it in your middle years! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Catnip.Cooking Classes.and Coyotes. Lucy was wallowing in the catnip, having a grand time, when suddenly. Ollie stumbled into the living room, collapsed, and was hanging onto the rug for dear life. His eyes unfocused. Just waiting. For the rug to stop moving so he could get up. I can show you how to trash your kitchen with every supper. You just make your meals from scratch! And the best meals are those where you need to make at least three things at once! With lots of ingredients! It is now overflowing.

All In One Night. When the guys were finished taking the patio slab out on Monday, they went around with the blade and smoothed out the dirt. Bill stopped home yesterday morning to do a little more prep work and told me to come look at all the tracks in the back yard. There were tracks from lots of quail and and are those. Smaller ones MOUSE tracks? Several sets of bunny tracks. There were javelina tracks. And even mountain lion tracks. All in one night. Our backyard is a happening place! All In One Night.

Stick A Fork In It! Kitchen: Before and Afters. Well, good enough! All that's left is grouting along the toe kicks and caulking along the cupboards where they meet the walls. I'm sorry this post might take awhile to load because I took a ton of before and after pictures. Notice the raised ceiling! See how my kitchen was such a cave with that dropped ceiling? We are still working on painting the walls.). And the whole she-bang. I so so love it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Meanwhile, back at the ranch.

Things My Taimi Grandma Taught Me. Taimi Grandma taught me how to eat strawberries. She always asked me why I didn't dip them in sugar. I told her I liked them plain. She would say, TRY IT- they taste like dessert. And SHE WAS RIGHT. They are SO good- just like dessert! And when us kids were young we would go stay at her house. She would call us for a meal and it was always so fun. We would be so excited to go see what was there. She always would have little bowls of things to choose from. And the cutene...

Why There Is No Card This year. I thought I was really on the ball this year! Way back in the beginning of November I decided I wanted to include the cats in our Christmas cards this year. I figured they would be BY FAR the most difficult to photograph so I decided to start right then. Took about 1,000 pictures (just an estimate) and finally got one of each that would be acceptable. I figured between the next two Sunday's, I would take pictures of my husband and daughter. Until, I just GAVE UP. And the f...

A New Couch - First World Problem. We got a new couch! I looked at the photo several times and sighed longingly. It was PINK. They call it 'light red' but it looks pink. What would Bill say. Then one day when Bill got home from work I told him. I think I found a couch I like.". He said "I've been wanting a couch. I hate those love seats- let's go look at it.". And here I thought I would have to warm him up to. The idea over several weeks! So off we went. And came home with it. Squeeeeeee! Move it to wher...

Last Friday I reached the end of my rope with chipmunks. Nothing was working on getting rid of them so I decided to try The Bucket of Doom. Then it all came clear. On Monday evening Bill heard something in the carport. Behind the metal sheet that will be for making a chimney cap WAS A. That's what scared all of the chipmunks off! Maybe he even ate one. He was quite fat. Guess the eating has been good around here. Here is another picture of him in the sun. Bright and early yesterday morning,. When they ar...
