I live in Iowa, because that is where part of my heart is and that is where I want to live someday. When I think of "home", I think of Iowa. I live in my apt on Preble Dr, because that is where I do my cooking and cleaning and showering and sleeping. When I think of "home", I think of Preble Dr. Is it August 2 yet? Wednesday, February 6, 2008. My textbook was right.music is the tonal analogue of the emotive life. A piece of music is not meaningful without the rise and fall of sound, the stretching and clenching of notes and rhythms, the disonence and consonance of chords. A resolution requires disonence, there must be stress, drama, pain. Without it it goes nowhere, it means nothing, and it moves no one. Friday, June 20, 2008. The mountain pass from Los Angeles county to Kern county through the Tahachapi mountains is commonly referred to as "The Grapevine". I have probably driven through the Grapevine about 50 million times over the past 10 months (or about 4-6 times per month, anyway) but tomorrow will be the last time for a loooooooong time. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. On Saturday April 18th I pulled into the church parking lot at 10:30am. As I got out of my car and headed towards the admin building to work, a black Chihuahua puppy came bounding across the grass straight towards me! I squatted down to pet him and he immediately jumped into my arms (aww! I stood outside for a few minutes to see if his owner would come running after him, but no one came! I squeeled as I shoved the dog into his arms. How could anyone do that to sweet Pepe?
