I GET UP. I WALK. I FALL DOWN. MEANWHILE I KEEP DANCING. -HILLEL. Remembering How to Exhale. Prayer for a Nation. August 29, 2011. Walking along the boardwalk. Where shadows of us. Antiphonally with my heart-. In the long, slow beats. Needed for this hibernation. How I long to use. The drifting clouds above. Arriving on your distant shore. To nest my body. One response ». October 4, 2011 at 3:35 am. Great writing Shelly. Moving. Truly. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Tea Dance | DANCE
https://ymcraig.wordpress.com/poetry-2/tea-dance
I GET UP. I WALK. I FALL DOWN. MEANWHILE I KEEP DANCING. -HILLEL. Remembering How to Exhale. Prayer for a Nation. It’s raining men, Hallelujah, it’s raining men! Surrounded by men. Bare-chested, pec-tight,. Kissed-by-the-sun men. Tight-jeaned,. One button open, manicured, pedicured men. The chorus drives us to raise our hands skyward. Towards the revolving mirrored disco ball. Throwing refracted rainbows across. The room, across our bodies. The interrupted, intermittent pulsing light. God bless these men!
