Aylestone Lane Community Allotment (was Oadby and Wigston Community Food Champions) Leicester: A bumper year for apples
http://www.oadbywigstonfood.org/2013/10/a-bumper-year-for-apples.html
Friday, 11 October 2013. A bumper year for apples. 2013 has been a brilliant year for the Fruit Harvesting Scheme. We have harvested crates and crates full of surplus fruit from around Oabby and Wigston - it's certainly been a bumper crop! We have been working with various Food Banks to distribute the fruit to people in need, and have been able to help well over 100 families. 17 September 2014 at 02:32. Thanks a million once again, Regards, upma recipe. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, 24 March 2014. It's not the end. Well, hasn't the past two and a half years flown by! So the current round of funding has come to an end, but it doesn't mean the food growing has to stop! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Aylestone Lane Community Allotment (was Oadby and Wigston Community Food Champions) Leicester: About us
http://www.oadbywigstonfood.org/p/about-us.html
The Oadby and Wigston Community Food Champions is a Big Lottery. Funded project running from September 2011 to March 2014. During this time, more than 1000 local people will learn how to grow their own fruit and vegetables. We hope to develop a sustainable food growing culture in the borough, and we'll encourage as many people as possible to grow and harvest their own food. In back gardens, on balconies, in public spaces and on allotments. The Community Food Champions. An additional feature of the projec...

Pick up a loaf of locally made organic bread at the Hub - Norwich FarmShare

Pick up a loaf of locally made organic bread at the Hub. We’re delighted to have recently welcomed the family Nussbaum to join us as members: and even happier when they asked us whether they could sell their delicious homebaked 100% organic sourdough bread at the Hub. We jumped at the chance and our members have been buying it ever since. Lots of you have had questions about how it’s made, so here, in their own words is a piece from our lovely bakers. At the moment we offer 4 kinds of breads:. We are ver...
Visiting / Directions - Norwich FarmShare
http://norwichfarmshare.co.uk/visit
It’s easy to get to the farm by bus, bicycle or car. Buses to the Postwick Park and Ride leave from Norwich Bus Station and Castle Meadow from stand F every 15 minutes. Due to the roadworks around Postwick and the A47, at the moment if you visit the farm by car, you will need to park in the Park and Ride and walk to the farm (only a 1 or 2 minute walk). Come to the farm to collect your free parking permit to display on your car. If you just fancy a wander round the site or a picnic, it’s your farm. Pleas...
Get involved - Norwich FarmShare
http://norwichfarmshare.co.uk/get-involved
We’d love you to get involved and there are so many ways you can- whether you have five minutes to spare or plenty of time. Firstly of course, we’d love you to share our vegetables. Every penny our members spend on their shares go towards the costs of the farm, whether that’s paying our growers or buying seeds, so your money really makes a difference to us. If you don’t need our vegetables, there are lots of other ways you can get involved. For just 2 a month you can join us as a supporter. Keep up to da...
