Monday, August 4, 2014. I saw The Vixen this morning for a 3-month follow-up. The last time I saw her, I got scanned. That was all good. She had started me on 3 months of blood thinners due to a blood clot that was discovered May 6. That was kind of a bummer, injecting myself every 12 hours for 3 months. But since all is well, I am off that now, too. But she will insist on 6 month scans for a while. That's OK. I feel awesome so I think I'm home free. But the money still goes to the Dana Farber even if I ...

Monday, November 24, 2014. I am off treatment! And closing down this blog. The only remaining treatment was the quarterly injection of Lupron which is a chemo drug that lowers estrogen levels. Since I'm now 53, most likely I would have transitioned fully into menopause at age 51. So the risk is fairly low that my hormones will activate again. She said that if the hot flashes continue, it's a good thing! So for the first time in 6 years I love that feeling! My heart is singing for joy for you and Mark!
