Lomas Helicopters – Helipad

We are situated six nautical miles South West of RMB Chivenor, two nautical miles West of Bideford. There is a tarmac helipad on the West side of the Hangar. A windsock is displayed and High Intensity Strobe is located on the hangar roof. Full Night Lighting is available on request. Please avoid the Horse Stud to the North on take-off and landing. Open to the military, 24 hours with pressure refuelling available. All events and private landing sites catered for. 510195N, 004.15.098W 270ft AMSL.

Our single engined AS350B2 squirrel Helicopter has all the necessary fitments for a variety of aerial camera systems including the Cineflex, Eclipse, Wescam and Tyler. This aircraft also provides an ideal camera platform because of its extremely low vibration levels and excellent open door characteristics. Lomas Helicopters was set up by David Lomas in 1989 originally operating from Exeter Airport. In 1992 the main office was moved to the family Estate in North Devon which was when Emma came onboard as the Operations Manager. We are a family owned and operated company, based at our own Helipad, with all our own vehicles and equipment which enables us to be particularly flexible and versatile. David Lomas is the Managing Director, Emma Lomas is the Operations Manager and Gary Hulme is our Helipad Manager.
