So for all us shing stars just remember than the depression and darkness might be painful but we are all stars – we hold that little bit of light safely – if we didnt we would not be so pained by the darkness. Who would know that all these symptoms could be caused by shopping. A thumping heart (palpitations). Hot flushes or chills. Feeling short of breath, sometimes with choking sensations. When living with a disability of any kind some parts of your life become more difficult than others. At the moment I cant leave the house unless someone is with me (or one of my dogs) so being confined to my home bu my own brain gives me less freedom than a prisoner out on licence or with a tag – they can life their life with a few restrictions. My life, torments and treasures, creativity and my dogs. The last two days have been particulary difficult. I know those with depression will understand depression and bipolar are so difficult to understand if you are not the sufferer – that is according to my husband – he tries to understand but has no idea of what goes on in my head and who switches the switches. This means leaving the house. Going to somewhere I would MUCH rather not be. I then have to go to the market for some food items.

I live in the south western part of the UK in a county called Wiltshire, where amongst other things you will find Stonehenge. I have bipolar and live with my long suffering husband and 6 dogs, five are rescues. Rodders – a brain damaged (due to abuse) greyhound. Lamia – his assistance dog a saluki cross. Kaydan – a mini Dachschund.
