Monday, 8 September 2014. Wow, this year has gone by so quickly. The garden is still growing, although most is coming to an end. I still have potatoes growing, I want them to get nice and big. The second lot of tomatoes I planted are still green, waiting for them to go red. The first lot planted in the baskets have finished and been composted. The cucumbers had a good run although they are still going the new fruits are still small and don't seem to be getting much bigger. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, 6 March 2014. Do any of you remember the competition we had back in December 2012 for a spring bulb planting? If not it's here. Well I'm still waiting for my prizes. i was supposed to have £50 to spend so it was choose what you wanted and e-mail it to them. Well e-mailed several times to be precise, then the person dealing with it left so I had to e-mail someone else, still never got any of it. Oh well, off to buy my seeds from the local Garden Centre, I will keep them in business instead.

Wednesday, 25 December 2013. Well it's all been happening here. The storm hit us Monday, high winds and loads of rain. When I went to bed everything was still standing but by Tuesday morning it was a scramble between the rain to try and repair and retrieve everything. I now have the heating going in there, the candle and plant pot trick, to see if this will help but at the moment there is so much moisture in there I don't know if it's really going to help. Tuesday, 24 September 2013. Do you remember that beautiful Sweet Potato that was poking it's head out of the soil? Well I couldn't resist any longer. 1 pound 4 oz. Awesome.
