Monday, July 26, 2010. Last week, in the middle of the night, I got up to go to the BR. I had a tremendous headache. I layed there and thought what are you waiting for? Saturday, December 5, 2009. I went to visit my daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter in Boston, as well as my HS buddies. I flew on Thanksgiving morning. Up to Salt Lake, then to Boston. I had the whole 3 seats to myself going to Boston. How nice was that! When we got to the house, my daughters were in the last 30 minute preparation for the Thanksgiving meal. Thursday, September 24, 2009. I got some good news yesterday at the Doc's office. My tumor is responding to the chemo/radiation. Next step is to go to a higher dose for 5 days a month. Start on Monday. Still feeling good. Occasional problem with sleep still, but I have the sleeping pill to rely on if I need to. Good sleep is a very good thing! I plan to start on the quilt soon. Sunday, May 16, 2010. Well, it's been a few months since I have sat down and put some thoughts together. Today was the National Brain Tumor Society bike ride in Waltham, MA. Erin and Lindsay got a team together and fund raised almost $ 10,000 in my honor. Oh man, what a surprise! They had a great day. The weather was just right! Saturday, January 30, 2010. 7 months and counting. They were very friendly and open. There were a few newcomers in addition to my husband and me. It seems to be a large group (over 100 people) from what everyone said, but a smaller one that night (about 40). I heard alot of different diagnosis- not all cancer, but still all needing surgery and/or treatment of some kind. Saturday, February 20, 2010. Feb Visit to the Dr. I saw the Dr on Feb 10th. Still with altered taste. (I call it chemo tongue! Ok, too much nurse talk! Just completed the 6th cycle of my chemo. This time, the copay was only 10.00 instead of 100.00. I asked why and if they were sure, and they told me I must have had a deductible to meet for Jan?
